9 Fast Facts About Lebanese Knockout Artist Abdallah Ondash
Abdallah Ondash’s story sounds less like a normal fighter journey and more like nonstop grind mode, going from motorcycle mechanic and family gym coach to lone traveler and eventually one of ONE Friday Fights’ most explosive finishers.
Now carrying a 23-2 professional record overall, Ondash returns against Denkriangkrai Mavinn Muaythai in strawweight Muay Thai action at The Inner Circle on May 29, airing live exclusively for subscribers at live.onefc.com from Bangkok’s iconic Lumpinee Stadium.
Before he steps back into battle, here are nine facts about one of Lebanon’s fastest-rising knockout artists.
#1 He Comes From A Martial Arts Family
Competition has always been part of Ondash’s life.
His father was a wrestler, while his older brother Ahmad became the first member of the family to seriously pursue Muay Thai and eventually open a gym in Lebanon.
Abdallah grew up in a massive household with six brothers and one sister, although only three of the siblings eventually pursued fighting professionally.
Watching Ahmad train inspired both Abdallah and younger brother Ramadan to follow the same path. In fact, Ramadan actually started training first because he constantly accompanied Ahmad to the gym as a child.
Today, the Ondash family has become one of the fastest-rising Muay Thai families in the Arabic world.
#2 He Started Muay Thai Surprisingly Late
Unlike many elite Muay Thai fighters who began training as children, Ondash only started seriously training at 16 years old.
Inspired by Ahmad and Ramadan’s involvement in the sport, he decided to try training himself. Within just one or two months, he was already competing regularly in Lebanon.
The rapid progression surprised even him. He eventually fought 10 times within a single year and became Lebanese Class A Champion before pursuing opportunities internationally.
#3 He Worked Multiple Jobs Before ONE Championship
Long before earning knockout bonuses and contracts, Ondash worked difficult jobs while trying to build his fighting career.
He previously worked as a motorcycle mechanic, delivery rider, and other odd jobs while balancing school and Muay Thai training.
According to Ondash, some weeks he earned only around $50 while learning the trade. At that time, fighting represented one of the few ways he believed he could build a better future for himself and his family.
#4 He Has Fought Across Multiple Countries
Before earning a six-figure contract with the world’s largest martial arts organization, Ondash spent years building experience across different countries and rule sets.
The Lebanese striker competed in Jordan, Cyprus, Iraq, Germany, Thailand, and the United Kingdom while fighting under Muay Thai, kickboxing, and boxing rules.
He even lived in Germany for around a year while continuing to compete professionally. According to Ondash, constantly traveling helped shape both his mentality and confidence as a fighter.
#5 He Once Traveled Alone To Fight In The UK
One of the boldest moments in Ondash’s early career came when he traveled completely alone to the United Kingdom for a fight because bringing coaches or teammates was too expensive.
He entered enemy territory and defeated a respected British fighter under Liam Harrison’s Hitman Fight League banner.
Rather than feeling intimidated, Ondash viewed the trip as an important life experience while proving he could survive under pressure anywhere in the world.
He explained:
“I traveled alone. No coach, nothing. I bought my ticket myself. I didn’t care if I won or lost. I just wanted to do my best.”
#6 He Has Become ONE Friday Fights’ New Knockout Machine
Ondash’s aggressive style has transformed him into one of the most explosive finishers in the weekly series.
Across his seven victories in ONE, five have ended by knockout, while each of his last three wins came via stoppage. That violent streak culminated with his devastating finish over Kompet Sitsarawatseur at ONE Friday Fights 132, which earned him a coveted six-figure contract.
For Ondash, however, the contract only increased his motivation.
He said:
“It was very nice. Honestly, it was a surprise for me, but I already had a good record in ONE Championship. After getting the contract, Inshallah, I will do my best and win my first fight on the main roster.”
#7 He Runs Warriors Brew Gym And Cafe In Lebanon
Outside of fighting, Ondash also owns Warriors Brew in Lebanon, a gym and coffee shop business he founded in January 2025 while continuing his rise in ONE.
Whenever he returns home, the Lebanese striker still spends time coaching students, managing the business, and helping grow the local Muay Thai scene.
For Ondash, Warriors Brew symbolizes how far he has come from working odd jobs and struggling financially to becoming one of Lebanon’s most beloved combat sports stars.
#8 He Loves ATVs And Action Movies
Outside the ring, Ondash enjoys adrenaline in almost every form.
The 24-year-old revealed that he owns a large ATV and likes riding it during his free time back home, especially since he prefers outdoor activities and hot countries with beaches and open roads.
He also enjoys action movies and grew up watching martial arts stars like Tony Jaa and Scott Adkins.
Ondash explained:
“I like action movies. Tony Jaa and Boyka. I like watching them. I like Tony Jaa because his Muay Thai is very good.”
#9 He Dreams Of Becoming Lebanon’s First ONE World Champion
For Ondash, success in ONE Championship means far more than fame or money.
The Lebanese striker stated that one of his biggest goals is becoming the first Lebanese athlete to capture a ONE World Title.
Ondash believes achieving that milestone would provide inspiration and pride for younger generations back home.
He said:
“Winning ONE World Title is very good for my country. I will be proud.”
