Rodtang Rallies Gym After Mentor’s Death | ONE Feature

Rodtang’s meteoric rise was in jeopardy before it even got off the ground. With his success in the ring waning, the Muay Thai phenom contemplated hanging up his gloves. But one man saw through the bad times, and kept his faith in Rodtang — gym owner Huan Jitmuangnon. Reinvigorated by his support, Rodtang went on to win multiple World Championships before tragedy struck. After leaving town for training, Rodtang’s world came crashing down when he learned that his greatest mentor had suddenly passed away. Picking up the pieces of his gym, Rodtang vowed to bring glory to his late coach’s name, and worked with Coach Huan’s widowed wife “Mother Ae” to bring the Jitmuangnon name back to prominence. Now, he has the opportunity of a lifetime to bring back the greatest prize in Muay Thai back to Thailand, taking on British phenom Jonathan Haggerty for the ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Title at ONE: DAWN OF HEROES in Manila.
