Yu Yau Pui Vs. Marie McManamon Set For Atomweight Muay Thai Showdown At ONE Fight Night 48
ONE Championship has added a high-profile contest to the ONE Fight Night 48 on Prime Video lineup, pitting two hungry fighters against each other in an atomweight Muay Thai battle that could reshape their promotional trajectories.
Hong Kong’s Yu Yau Pui will face the United Kingdom’s Marie McManamon at the show, which airs live in U.S. primetime from Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium on Friday, October 2.
Yu’s path into Muay Thai began at age 18 as a way to stay fit. The Hong Konger eventually took her first official fight at 22 and never looked back.
She made her ONE Championship debut through the ONE Friday Fights circuit in 2023, reeling off five consecutive victories to earn a US$100,000 contract and a spot on the promotion’s global roster.
The 33-year-old made an instant impact in her main roster debut, defeating former ISKA Kickboxing World Champion and WBC Muay Thai World Champion Lara Fernandez in 2024. Since that high point, however, the aggressive striker has hit a rough patch, winning just once in her last four outings.
Five months after knocking out Anna “Supergirl” Jaroonsak and retiring the phenom in Muay Thai action, Yu made the switch to kickboxing and fell to former K-1 Champion Kana “Krusher Queen” Morimoto in a competitive three-round battle this past August. Now holding a professional record of 29-5, Yu looks to rediscover the form that once made her one of the division’s biggest threats.
Standing across from her will be McManamon, a 36-year-old representative of the Knowlesy Academy in London, where she trains alongside reigning ONE Bantamweight Kickboxing World Champion Jonathan Haggerty and strawweight phenom Freddie Haggerty.
Widely regarded as one of the United Kingdom’s leading Muay Thai strikers, McManamon dominated the domestic scene before making her high-profile ONE Championship debut in 2025, challenging Allycia Hellen Rodrigues for the ONE Women’s Atomweight Muay Thai World Title.
The Brit came up short via fourth-round TKO in that outing, and months later, she fell to two-time WBC Muay Thai World Champion Selina “Teep Queen” Flores by unanimous decision.
Now, McManamon looks to re-ignite her ONE Championship career against a fellow veteran who is also motivated to earn a statement victory at ONE Fight Night 48 on Prime Video.
