Tha Pyay Nyo scored the quickest victory of his burgeoning mixed martial arts career.

The 24-year-old competitor brought his countrymen in a packed Thuwunna Indoor Stadium to their feet in Yangon, Myanmar, as he knocked out the debuting Htet Aung Oo in 16 seconds flat at ONE: LIGHT OF A NATION.

There was not much of a feeling out process to start the round off. Just seconds into the contest, Tha Pyay Nyo — the ONE Myanmar Featherweight Tournament 2015 Champion — landed a massive right hand precisely on the jay of his opponent.

It dropped Htet Aung Oo to the canvas instantly, forcing the referee to jump in and stop the bout before any unnecessary punishment was handed out.

Tha Pyay Nyo earned the quickest victory of his career. He pushes his record to 4-0, with all his wins coming by knockout or TKO. In the process, he puts the entire bantamweight division on alert.

It is a tough loss for newcomer Htet Aung Oo, but he is a Lethwei Gold Belt Champion, and will learn from this experience.
