Training out of the famed Taung Ka Lay Lethwei Club, Myanmar Lethwei Champion Htet Aung Oo first started training in Myanmar’s famed striking art when he was 18 years old. Over the next 10 years of professional competition, he racked up an impressive record, and reached the pinnacle of lethwei by capturing a prestigious Regional Gold Belt.

Now with the new horizons of mixed martial arts competition in front of him, Htet Aung Oo trains hard to make an impact in ONE Championship’s stacked roster, and is motivated by the prospect of testing his skills against athletes from all over the world. Ultimately, he aims to showcase lethwei on the global stage, let the world know that Myanmar has talented martial artists, and inspire his fellow countrymen with his courage in the cage.
