Superbon To Face Jo Nattawut In Muay Thai Clash At ONE Friday Fights 81

Superbon Marat Grigorian ONE Friday Fights 4

Superbon‘s next assignment will come in the Muay Thai ranks at ONE Friday Fights 81 on September 27.

There’s a stacked lineup prepared for the event at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, and the Thai superstar’s three-round featherweight clash against “Smokin” Jo Nattawut will headline the proceedings.

The reigning ONE Interim Featherweight Kickboxing World Champion will switch back to “the art of eight limbs” to face his compatriot in a matchup between the division’s top two contenders.

Currently #1 after a majority decision loss to Tawanchai PK Saenchai for the ONE Featherweight Muay Thai World Title last December, Superbon would love to earn another shot at the gold by getting back to winning ways in Muay Thai.

The 33-year-old has been on point in his last two kickboxing outings, knocking out Tayfun Ozcan at ONE Fight Night 11 and then defeating Marat Grigorian in an epic battle for the interim gold at ONE Friday Fights 58.

However, to earn a potential rematch with Tawanchai, he must get past the teak-tough Nattawut.

“Smokin” Jo has operated among ONE’s elite since the inception of the all-striking divisions in 2018.

The American-based Thai has faced off against the best of the best consistently, and though it means he hasn’t amassed a pristine record, he’s always shown that he will give any rival a run for their money.

A pair of losses to Tawanchai sandwiched his most recent win over Luke Lessei last December, but Nattawut grew in stature from those contests.

The 35-year-old has pushed Tawanchai harder than anyone else in the world’s largest martial arts organization, earning him a trilogy match for the featherweight Muay Thai gold at ONE 169: Atlanta on November 8.

Before Nattawut challenges for the belt again, he’ll have to fend off the hungry Superbon in a three-rounder that could serve as a massive confidence boost.

Superbon is one of the best to ever do it, and he wants to add to his legacy by becoming a two-sport king in ONE.

Both men are highly motivated to leave Lumpinee Stadium with the win and have the firepower to do it, so expect a fierce battle in this all-Thai clash on September 27.
