‘Stamp Will Win The World Title’ – Yodkaikaew Fairtex Says Close Friend Will Dethrone Angela Lee

Thai flyweight Yodkaikaew Fairtex gets introduced before his fight at ONE: BAD BLOOD

Yodkaikaew Fairtex has witnessed Stamp Fairtex’s rapid rise through ONE Championship more closely than anybody.

The Muay Thai Champion turned mixed martial artist helped Stamp make her own transition from the striking arts to MMA, and he expects the megastar to topple atomweight queen “Unstoppable” Angela Lee in the main event of ONE X on Saturday, 26 March.

Stamp previously held the ONE Kickboxing and Muay Thai World Titles, and she has made incredible strides in the all-encompassing sport alongside “Y2K” at Fairtex Training Center in Pattaya, Thailand.

That evolution was evident when the 24-year-old won the ONE Women’s Atomweight World Grand Prix Championship Final via submission in December – an accomplishment that showed how far her skill set has come.

Yodkaikaew said:

“I think Stamp has made great progress in MMA. She can escape from difficult situations that are unlikely to be resolved. She is good. I’m impressed with her ability. She is a fast learner. She’s my best sparring partner. Sometimes she teaches me good techniques as well.”

While Stamp is seemingly ahead of schedule in her MMA career, “Y2K” thinks this is just the start of her ascent.

In fact, he’s confident the former two-sport queen will make history at ONE’s 10-year anniversary event, becoming the first athlete in the organization to claim gold in three sports.

Yodkaikaew stated:

“What I can say is Stamp will win the World Title, no matter how. Of course, I have to cheer for my friend.”

Yodkaikaew And Stamp: Friends And Social Media Sensations

Yodkaikaew Fairtex and Stamp Fairtex have grown close after spending so much time together in the gym over the years.

When Stamp arrived at the Fairtex facility – known for the striking arts – “Y2K” was the only athlete training in mixed martial arts. So when the young phenom decided to truly focus on the sport, Yodkaikaew was her go-to guy for support.

Speaking about their bond, he said:

“We are close friends since Stamp came to Fairtex, and we became closer when she started practicing MMA. I gave her advice because I competed in MMA before her. And since then, we always train together.”

Along with their relationship in the gym and the support they provide each other while preparing for encounters inside the Circle, Stamp and Yodkaikaew have caught the eye of fans for their fun-loving partnership on social media.

While the upcoming World Title challenger is the instigator for most of their online antics, “Y2K” is a willing participant.

As a result, they often clown around on TikTok and Instagram as a way to entertain followers and relax during breaks from their grueling training sessions.

Yodkaikaew added:

“Sometimes she invites me to play on TikTok. Sometimes I invite her when I have found something cool. We usually play on TikTok before and after our training to relieve stress.”
