Several Bouts Revealed For ONE Hero Series March
The initial card for ONE Hero Series March has been unveiled, and there will be a couple of ONE Championship veterans competing on the event.
Set for Monday, 25 March, the all-China lineup will feature at least 22 athletes including familiar faces like Zhong Qing Ya, Zhang Ze Hao, and “The Little Squirrel” Liu De Li Ge Ri Hu.
Zhong made his first promotional appearance at ONE: TITLES & TITANS in Jakarta, Indonesia in August 2016, where he submitted Liu Jun via rear-naked choke in 53 seconds. He joins ONE Hero Series and will step into the ring against Liu Meng Yu in a bantamweight contest.
The event will also feature Zhang, who may be the most recognizable martial artist on the broadcast.
He showcased his thunderous knockout power when he defeated Bala Shetty and Li Cheng Chao in 2017. Now, in a lightweight bout, he meets Lu Zheng from Equilibrium Beijing, which also happens to be the gym home of “Rock Man” Chen Lei.
Also, “The Little Squirrel” returns to action. When fans last saw him in The Home Of Martial Arts, he fell to Ramon Gonzales. Liu has now resurfaced in ONE Hero Series, and in his first test, he collides with “Northwestern Wolf” Wang Shuai.
In addition to the aforementioned three matches, there are six other mixed martial arts bouts and a pair of ONE Super Series kickboxing contests taking place at the show. Check below for the match listing.
