Nong-O Staying Ready For World Title Defense Against Rodlek

Nong-O Gaiyanghadao trains at Evolve MMA

ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion Nong-O Gaiyanghadao is always prepared.

Despite an ever-growing list of challengers, the reigning king is determined to continue sitting atop his throne. And following the division’s recent tournament final, he has even more reason to stay ready.

At ONE: A NEW BREED last Friday, 28 August, Rodlek PK.Saenchai Muaythaigym put on a masterful performance to defeat Kulabdam Sor. Jor. Piek Uthai by unanimous decision. In the process, he earned a shot at Nong-O’s belt.

With that, the titleholder knows it won’t be long until he needs to defend the strap.

“Championship rounds. Trust the process, trust the team,” Nong-O wrote in an Instagram post detailing his training at Evolve.

The caption accompanied four videos showcasing a variety of workouts that have made the Thai star a ONE World Champion.

Those include hitting the mitts to perfect his technique, lifting weights to increase his power, and riding a stationary bike to improve his cardio for those aforementioned championship rounds.

That tireless work ethic will certainly be needed when Nong-O defends the ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Championship against Rodlek later in 2020.
