‘Much More Accurate And Experienced’ – Rodtang Expects Nong-O To Overwhelm Harrison

Nong-O Gaiyanghadao successfully defends the Bantamweight Muay Thai World Championship against Felipe Lobo at ONE X

Rodtang Jitmuangnon thinks Nong-O Gaiyanghadao will retain his ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Title at ONE on Prime Video 1: Moraes vs. Johnson II and further cement his status as one of the greatest strikers in history.

Both divisional kings will compete on the historic card – which airs live in U.S. primetime this Friday, August 26 – as Rodtang will face Savvas Michael in the ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Grand Prix semifinals.

And immediately afterward, Nong-O will defend his gold against hard-hitting challenger Liam Harrison in the co-main event at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

There’s no doubt that Harrison is an extremely dangerous challenger, but “The Iron Man” believes his fellow Thai superstar will weather the storm and gradually take control.

Rodtang said:

“All of Liam’s weapons are heavy and violent, but Nong-O is much more accurate and experienced in Muay Thai. The longer the match proceeds, the more techniques Nong-O will execute to dominate Liam. But it depends on who makes a mistake first.”

Both Nong-O and “Hitman” carry fearsome power in their fists, which they’ve showcased with recent knockout finishes.

However, Rodtang sees the defending World Champion’s versatility as a key difference-maker in Friday’s contest, especially if Harrison doesn’t come up with the perfect strategy.

The flyweight star said:

“Liam has to prepare his game plan well because Nong-O can be both technical and a brawler at the same time. But personally, I give it to Nong-O.”

Rodtang Says Nong-O Is The Best Striker In ONE Championship

ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon has risen to stardom in ONE, following in the footsteps of iconic athletes like Nong-O Gaiyanghadao.

The 25-year-old Thai still looks up to his compatriot, and even at 35, he views Nong-O as the most lethal striker in the organization.

Both of them currently hold undefeated Muay Thai records in ONE. However, “The Iron Man” thinks the bantamweight Muay Thai king’s physical and mental capabilities set him apart from everyone else.

Rodtang added:

“I’ll say Nong-O Gaiyanghadao is the best striker in ONE Championship. He’s a heavy hitter, sharp, and accurate. He’s a Muay Thai legend. He is determined and never gives up. He doesn’t care how much older he is. His only thought is that he has to fight to the end. He is strong from the inside.”
