Knockout Artists Return At ONE Hero Series On 14 June
This Friday, 14 June, a stacked weekend of martial arts action in Shanghai, China will begin with ONE Hero Series June.
Just one day before ONE Championship returns to the city’s Baoshan Arena for ONE: LEGENDARY QUEST, some of the nation’s most talented prospects will take center stage.
Like the stars of Rich Franklin’s ONE Warrior Series, these athletes will put everything on the line to impress The Home Of Martial Arts’ matchmaking committee and earn a lucrative contract to compete on the main roster.
As usual, there will be plenty of new faces among the 22 athletes who will go to battle in the ring, but this 11-bout show will also feature the return of several men who have already tasted success in previous events.
One of the match-ups at the top of the card will see two of China’s foremost up-and-coming knockout artists go toe-to-toe in the flyweight division.
“The Hunter” Xie Wei has scored TKO stoppages at OHS January and OHS April to stand out as one of the most impressive performers so far. A third consecutive finish will put him in the running to make the step up a level, but he will have to negotiate the firepower of “The Little Squirrel” Liu Deligerihu, who hit an 86-second KO in March.
Another pair of April’s most clinical performers will clash in the bantamweight division.
Wang Jing Jia opened his OHS account with a commanding performance that ended with a second-round submission. He will have the chance to build on that when he squares off against MaiMaiTiTuoHeti, who also showed off a dominant ground game that led to a TKO in the second stanza.
