‘It Will Be War’ – Elmehdi El Jamari Vows Vengeance For His Brother Against Aliff At ONE Fight Night 32

Family pride will be on the line when Moroccan knockout artist Elmehdi “The Sniper” El Jamari takes on Thai-Malaysian sensation Aliff Sor Dechapan in a high-stakes strawweight Muay Thai tilt at ONE Fight Night 32: Nakrob vs. Jaosuayai on Prime Video.
Scheduled for U.S. primetime this Friday, June 6, that hotly anticipated showdown will take place at Bangkok’s historic Lumpinee Stadium.
While the winner will make a strong case to challenge divisional kingpin Prajanchai PK Saenchai in their next fight, El Jamari is motivated by more than a crack at 26 pounds of World Title gold.
He’s also driven to avenge his older brother, Zakaria El Jamari, who suffered a stunning knockout loss to Aliff last August at ONE Fight Night 24.
Elmehdi was ringside for that fight. With the memory of that crushing defeat still fresh in his mind, the younger sibling told onefc.com that he will get revenge in emphatic fashion.
“I cannot wait for the fight. I cannot wait to enter the ring. It will be vengeance that rises to the level of our expectations.”
El Jamari has carefully studied his older brother’s clash with Aliff and is confident that they have identified what went wrong and found weaknesses to exploit.
Armed with his sibling’s firsthand knowledge of dealing with Aliff’s ultra-aggressive, all-action approach to striking, “The Sniper” is confident that he has the perfect blueprint for a victory at ONE Fight Night 32:
“Zakaria explained what happened during the fight. He doesn’t want me to commit the same mistakes he did. He told me Aliff is a good fighter, but he is not a great fighter. I think Zakaria’s biggest mistake was he put his hands down.”
An experienced striker who’s spent the past several years solidifying himself as arguably the Middle East’s top rising star, El Jamari is confident he will succeed where his brother failed.
In his unforgettable promotional debut in April at ONE Fight Night 30, the 27-year-old shocked fans with a crushing first-round stoppage of Thai fan favorite Thongpoon PK Saenchai, announcing himself as a genuine World Title threat.
El Jamari envisions another highlight-reel knockout on June 6:
“It will be war. And the war will not go into the third round. I will finish him via knockout.”
El Jamari Lays Out Game Plan For Revenge
Elmehdi El Jamari is well aware of Aliff Sor Dechapan’s dangerous style. Indeed, the 21-year-old phenom is a ruthless finisher who will come into this bout riding a three-fight winning streak.
Still, the Moroccan has done his homework and devised a game plan focused on neutralizing Aliff’s trademark long-range weaponry:
“Aliff is an intelligent fighter. He relies on strikes to the head and knee strikes. I will try to avoid his kicks. That said, he is not particularly good in fighting in close distances and depends heavily on long-distance strikes.”
“The Sniper” will find himself at a significant height and reach disadvantage against Aliff, who has proven to be an expert at employing long-distance kicks, flying knees, and a rangy boxing attack.
With that in mind, El Jamari is prepared to draw on his vast experience against taller opponents.
He said he’ll utilize the same boxing-heavy, knockout-oriented approach that earned him a spot in the world’s largest martial arts organization:
“I fought a tall fighter who is similar to Aliff in WBC. I think he was even taller than him, if I’m not mistaken. I have a history of facing fighters that are much taller than I am. I have more than 120 amateur fights and 28 professional fights.
“When I face a taller opponent, I may make slight changes to my game plan, especially to my timing, but I wouldn’t say that I make major changes.”
