Full Card Revealed For ONE: INSIDE THE MATRIX IV
After three weeks of explosive martial arts action, ONE Championship is ready to write the final chapter of its INSIDE THE MATRIX event series.
On Friday, 20 November, the world’s largest martial arts organization will air ONE: INSIDE THE MATRIX IV, which was previously recorded in Singapore.
In the main event, illustrious #2-ranked strawweight kickboxing contender “Golden Boy” Wang Junguang makes his anticipated return against dangerous promotional newcomer Aslanbek Zikreev.
Wang, who owns a 24-4-1 professional record, exploded onto the global stage in spectacular fashion back in October 2019. The 25-year-old Chinese striker overwhelmed Federico “The Little Big Man” Roma to earn a first-round TKO victory.
That earned Wang the opportunity to challenge Sam-A Gaiyanghadao for the inaugural ONE Strawweight Kickboxing World Title last December. But after five competitive rounds, the Thai legend did just enough to get the decision win and take the crown.
Now, “Golden Boy” begins his journey back to World Title contention in a 58.3-kilogram catch weight bout against Zikreev, a Russian and European Muay Thai Champion who’s looking to spoil his rival’s plans.
WPMF Muay Thai World Champion Rocky Ogden is on the comeback trail, too.
The protege of 10-time Muay Thai and Kickboxing World Champion John Wayne “The Gunslinger” Parr is looking to rise from his #2 spot in the Muay Thai strawweight rankings and build some momentum toward a rematch with Sam-A, who defeated him for the inaugural ONE Strawweight Muay Thai World Title in February.
Ogden will look to grab the 37th win of his storied career when he faces WBC Muay Thai World Champion Joseph “The Hurricane” Lasiri in the co-main event of ONE: INSIDE THE MATRIX IV.
Lasiri, who has traditionally competed at the flyweight division’s limit, will be fighting in a 59-kilogram catch weight affair. And if the exciting Italian striker gets his 41st career victory on Friday, it could signal a move to the strawweight division and his march toward a shot at Sam-A’s Muay Thai belt.
