The Best Pictures From ONE SAMURAI 4
ONE Championship delivered a spectacular night of World Title fights, highlight-reel finishes, and emotional moments with ONE SAMURAI 4, which aired live from Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan, on Saturday, October 17.
The 10-bout spectacle featured some of the biggest names in combat sports across Muay Thai, MMA, kickboxing, and submission grappling, with two reigning ONE World Champions successfully defending their crowns.
In the main event, reigning ONE Bantamweight Kickboxing World Champion Jonathan “The General” Haggerty overcame a spirited challenge from former divisional king Hiroki Akimoto, ultimately forcing a third-round corner stoppage to retain his gold and collect a US$100,000 performance bonus.
In the co-main event, Japanese megastar Nadaka Yoshinari electrified his home crowd with a devastating second-round head kick knockout of Malaysian challenger Rifdean “Magic Boy” Masdor, extending his incredible winning streak to 43 and securing his second successful ONE Atomweight Muay Thai World Title defense.
Beyond the action, the evening also featured a moving farewell to Japanese kickboxing legend Takeru Segawa, who was honored with a retirement ceremony and inducted into the ONE Hall of Fame. He had ended his illustrious career in April with a dramatic victory over Rodtang Jitmuangnon to claim the ONE Interim Flyweight Kickboxing World Title.
