ONE Championship’s athletes might just have saved the best for last, as ONE Fight Night 17: Kryklia vs. Roberts on Prime Video provided fireworks from start to finish in the final U.S. primetime show of 2023.
In the December 8 main event, Roman Kryklia became a two-sport king when he added the inaugural ONE Heavyweight Muay Thai World Title to his light heavyweight kickboxing gold with a crushing knockout win over Australia’s Alex Roberts.
The co-headliner provided a late nomination for this year’s Muay Thai Fight of the Year award, as Thai star “Smokin” Jo Nattawut used relentless punching combinations to overcome American newcomer Luke Lessei in a classic three-round firefight.
In the end, seven of eight matchups ended via knockout, making for an epic showcase at the organization’s first all-Muay Thai card.
