ONE Championship’s Top 5 Fights Of 2025
In 2025, ONE Championship provided its global fan base with another year of world-class martial arts action spread across MMA, Muay Thai, kickboxing, and submission grappling.
This year had it all, including nail-biting World Title fights, inspiring redemption stories, and star-making performances. Simply put, the battles produced unforgettable moments that will echo through history.
Before the calendar turns to 2026, let’s take a look at ONE Championship’s top five fights of 2025.
#1 Fabricio Andrade Vs. Enkh-Orgil Baatarkhuu
“The Tormentor” Enkh-Orgil Baatarkhuu launched himself to superstardom at ONE Fight Night 38 earlier this month, as he submitted defending titleholder Fabricio “Wonder Boy” Andrade in a back-and-forth encounter to capture the ONE Bantamweight MMA World Championship.
Carrying momentum from three straight victories, the 36-year-old entered the main event showdown at Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium with a quiet confidence.
Baatarkhuu wasn’t shaken by the magnitude of the moment and seemed unfazed when he stood across the ring from one of the promotion’s most feared knockout artists. Andrade had never lost in his five-year promotional run, and his finishing prowess had only gotten more lethal.
Andrade found early success with sharp elbows in the clinch, even scoring a knockdown in the opening frame. But Baatarkhuu – the protege of former ONE Featherweight MMA World Champion Narantungalag Jadambaa – refused to wilt, firing back with a spinning back kick that caught the Brazilian’s attention.
The tide shifted in rounds two and three. The Mongolian tagged Andrade repeatedly while scoring multiple takedowns, grinding down the defending kingpin with punishing top pressure, relentless ground-and-pound, and constant submission threats.
Sensing his opponent fading, Baatarkhuu turned up the heat in the fourth stanza. Another crushing takedown left the Brazilian crumbling under the assault. When “Wonder Boy” gave up his back, “The Tormentor” capitalized, sinking in a deep rear-naked choke that forced the tap at the 1:33 mark.
With that, Baatarkhuu claimed the richest prize in the sport, received praise from Mongolia President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh, and earned the honor of winning ONE Championship’s Fight of the Year.
#2 Prajanchai PK Saenchai Vs. Jonathan Di Bella II
Jonathan Di Bella had redemption on his mind when he ran it back with Prajanchai PK Saenchai in a ONE Strawweight Kickboxing World Title unification bout at ONE Fight Night 36 this past October.
Back at ONE Friday Fights 68 in June 2024, the Thai superstar handed Di Bella the only loss of his career and claimed the vacant divisional crown. The Italian-Canadian was forced to work his way back up the ladder in the months to follow, outclassing Rui Botelho in December 2024 and then dominating living legend Sam-A Gaiyanghadao in March to capture the interim belt.
Di Bella was locked in when he stepped into the “Madison Square Garden of the East” for his World Title main event rematch, and he brought with him a refined game plan and unshakeable focus. This time, things would be different.
Just seconds after the opening bell rang, the 29-year-old Italian-Canadian striker unleashed a whirlwind of tenderizing low kicks and jab-cross combinations from distance. His hand speed broke down Prajanchai’s defenses while his footwork allowed him to blitz in and out of range over the ensuing rounds.
Prajanchai’s legendary counterstriking kicked in during the championship rounds, as he landed the signature step-in knees that had troubled Di Bella in their first meeting nearly a year and a half ago. He even went headhunting for the knockout blow.
But Di Bella stayed composed, peppering the Thai star with more boxing combinations and stinging low kicks. In the end, the Italian-Canadian’s superior output and precision earned him the unanimous decision. With it, he unified the gold and avenged his only career blemish.
#3 Superlek Vs. Yuki Yoza
This past November, Yuki Yoza stepped into the Circle at ONE 173 fueled by vengeance.
The former K-1 Champion had his sights set on avenging his Team Vasileus stablemate Takeru “Natural Born Krusher” Segawa, who fell to ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Champion “The Kicking Machine” Superlek in his promotional debut back at ONE 165 in January 2024.
From the opening bell, Yoza turned the tables in their bantamweight kickboxing clash at the Ariake Arena. He battered Superlek’s legs with punishing calf kicks and crisp punching combinations that rattled the Thai luminary’s usually impenetrable defense.
When Superlek found his groove mid-fight, Yoza adapted. The 27-year-old Japanese striker denied his adversary space to work his deceptive feints and trademark kicks.
The final frame became a tactical war, with neither man yielding ground. However, Yoza continued to frustrate Superlek, and his cleaner, more damaging strikes told the story on the judges’ scorecards.
The unanimous decision handed the Team Vasileus fighter his biggest career victory against a pound-for-pound great, while settling the score for his stablemate.
#4 Adrian Lee Vs. Tye Ruotolo
The global fan base watched with bated breath, as ONE Welterweight Submission Grappling World Champion Tye Ruotolo made his long-awaited mixed martial arts debut at ONE Fight Night 35 last September.
There was no easing him in, however. The 22-year-old drew Adrian “The Phenom” Lee, who entered the lightweight MMA showdown with a perfect 3-0 career slate.
But Ruotolo refused to be intimidated by his 19-year-old rival’s credentials and pedigree. The California-based grappling king immediately showcased the striking repertoire he’d been honing behind closed doors. In fact, he landed a clean head kick that announced his arrival to the all-encompassing sport.
The first round was an intense back-and-forth battle, with both fighters trading strikes and grappling exchanges that had fans on their feet. Though Ruotolo had more control in the opening stanza, Lee – like his older brother, two-division MMA World Champion Christian Lee – hung tough.
In the second frame, Ruotolo completely took over the action, as he scored another takedown and transitioned seamlessly to the Hawaiian teen star’s back.
After breaking Lee’s grips, the BJJ prodigy closed off all escape routes with an airtight rear-naked choke, forcing the tap and opening his MMA career on a victorious note.
#5 Aliff Sor Dechapan Vs. Ramadan Ondash
At ONE Fight Night 38, Aliff Sor Dechapan knew Ramadan “The Scorpion” Ondash stood between him and a World Title shot against ONE Strawweight Muay Thai World Champion Prajanchai PK Saenchai.
The 21-year-old Thai-Malaysian sensation wisely used his length advantage from the jump, peppering Ondash with body kicks from distance. Meanwhile, the 19-year-old Lebanese rising star head-hunted with ferocious left hooks.
Aliff found his range in the second round, frustrating his aggressive rival by countering every attempt to close the distance with pinpoint kicks to the midsection.
Ondash grew desperate in the final frame, leaving himself wide open. That’s when Aliff capitalized.
He went airborne with a perfectly timed left knee that caught Ondash flush on the chin and sent him crashing to the canvas. While the Lebanese talent survived the referee’s eight-count, the damage was done.
That decisive blow earned Aliff the unanimous decision and cemented his place as the next challenger for Prajanchai’s 26 pounds of gold.
