RISE Featherweight Champion Masahide Kudo grew up watching combat sports in his hometown of Takasaki, in the Gunma prefecture of Japan. Inspired by the heroes he saw on television, he decided to to join the Shinjuku Lefty Gym in Tokyo at the age of 18 to pursue his growing passion. He made his professional kickboxing debut four years later, and he has since compiled a respectable winning record with the vast majority of his wins coming by way of highlight-reel knockout.
A firm fan-favorite due to his all-action approach and aggression, Kudo often throws caution to the wind with a willingness to trade heavy shots, giving way to incredibly exciting bouts. This thrilling style has since led him to great success. He first captured a championship belt in Asian regional Muay Thai promotion REBELS, and he most recently became the RISE Featherweight Champion after a thrilling extended-round victory over Yoshihisa Morimoto.
Kudo has competed exclusively in Japan so far, but he now brings a growing reputation to the global stage of ONE Super Series. He is determined to make the most of this incredible chance to realize his martial arts dreams and make his mark on the world.
