Audreylaura “Ice Comet” Boniface

Audreylaura Boniface grew up in Kampung Langsat, a small village in Malaysia’s Sabah province. When she was at university, she started training in taekwondo for self-defense, eventually earning her black belt. Raised alongside her many brothers and male cousins, she naturally became very competitive and sporty, actively taking part in track and field, hockey, futsal, netball, and volleyball.

In 2014, a friend of hers asked her along to try a martial arts class at Borneo Tribal Squad, and she fell in love with on her first day. A full-time practicing doctor in the Emergency and Trauma department of a hospital in Kota Kinabalu, Boniface found martial arts to be a great way to focus and channel the immense stress of her job.

Boniface currently trains under the guidance of famed Malaysian coach and veteran AJ Lias Mansor for her burgeoning professional career, and she plans to pursue her passion despite the rigors of her hospital schedule.
