Samy Sana pulled off one of the greatest upsets in kickboxing’s modern era, earning a thrilling unanimous decision victory over sporting icon Yodsanklai IWE Fairtex at ONE: ENTER THE DRAGON. Sana’s confidence was on full display from the opening bell, landing early and often before he dropped the Muay Thai legend late in the opening round. Though “The Boxing Computer” came storming back with combinations of his own in the second stanza, Sana was able to weather the storm. In an action-packed third and final round, a spirited exchange between these warriors sent the crowd into a frenzy, and also earned the Frenchman a deserving unanimous decision victory to advance to the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing Grand Prix semifinals.
