Yuki Yoza And Nabil Anane Set For Bantamweight Kickboxing Collision At ONE SAMURAI 4

Former ONE Bantamweight Kickboxing World Title challenger Yuki Yoza will meet former divisional Muay Thai king Nabil Anane in a highly anticipated bantamweight kickboxing war at ONE SAMURAI 4.

Also added to the card, Japanese veteran Shintaro Matsukura steps in for his promotional debut against Thai striking sensation Sinsamut Klinmee in a lightweight kickboxing showdown. These explosive clashes take place on Saturday, October 17, from Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan.

Yoza has established himself as one of Japan’s most exciting combat sports exports. The 28-year-old Team Vasileus representative stands 5-foot-7 and is a former K-1 Champion known worldwide for his devastating calf kicks. He holds a 23-3 striking record with nine stoppage wins and a 4-1 promotional mark.

The Japanese striker had a remarkable start to his ONE career in 2025, outclassing then-undefeated Elbrus Osmanov before outpointing former ONE Bantamweight Kickboxing World Champion Petchtanong Petchfergus. 

His third promotional bout made him a household name when he shocked the world by defeating reigning ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Champion “The Kicking Machine” Superlek via unanimous decision.

Riding that incredible momentum, Yoza earned a shot against ONE Bantamweight Kickboxing World Champion Jonathan “The General” Haggerty but fell short in their five-round war at ONE SAMURAI 1 in April.

After coming up short in his title bid, he returned with a solid unanimous decision win over Ben “The Problem” Woolliss at The Inner Circle 22 in July.

Now, a victory over the former divisional king would escalate his chances to earn another shot at gold in the stacked bantamweight kickboxing division.

Anane represents a new generation of world-class strikers. The 22-year-old Algerian-Thai star stands 6-foot-4 and competes for Team Mehdi Zatout. The WBC Muay Thai World Champion holds a 41-7 striking record with 13 stoppages and an 8-3 promotional tally.

Anane made his ONE debut at 19, losing against Thai megastar Superlek in Muay Thai. 

After that debut setback, he claimed five straight wins to earn a ONE Interim Bantamweight Muay Thai World Championship shot against “King of the North” Nico Carrillo in 2025, flatlining him via TKO.

Two months later, Anane avenged his debut loss against Superlek and was later promoted to undisputed ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion. After reaching the top of Muay Thai, he switched disciplines to make his promotional kickboxing debut against former ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Champion Ilias Ennahachi, though an accidental low blow ended the match in a no contest in September 2025.

He then defeated Hiromi Wajima in a featherweight kickboxing clash, winning via unanimous decision. However, his momentum stalled in March at The Inner Circle 7 when he lost his Muay Thai crown against Rambolek Chor Ajalaboon in a five-round war.

Now coming off a split-decision loss to Thai ace Suakim Pongsuphan PK in August, Anane is looking to break his losing spell and regain momentum heading into the final stretch of the year.

The bantamweight kickboxing clash promises to be a technical showcase as Yoza’s precision striking and calf kick arsenal meet Anane’s length and versatile striking attack. 

For Yoza, a victory would position him as the top contender for a title opportunity. For Anane, a win would announce his return to championship-level form and prove that his recent setbacks were merely a temporary detour in his rise to dominance.

Also, Japanese kickboxing veteran Matsukura will take on Thai striking sensation Sinsamut in a lightweight kickboxing contest, adding an exciting matchup to the ONE SAMURAI 4 lineup.

Matsukura arrives with a decorated background as a former K-1 Middleweight Champion, and there is no bigger stage to begin his ONE Championship journey than in front of a home crowd on Japanese soil. The veteran striker will look to make an immediate statement against a proven, world-class opponent right out of the gate.

Standing in his way is Sinsamut, a 30-year-old representative of Team Mehdi Zatout who owns a striking record of 83-22. The Thai veteran made an explosive entrance into ONE Championship, knocking out several renowned strikers in quick succession, a run that earned him two separate opportunities at the ONE Lightweight Muay Thai World Title. 

Despite his best efforts, Sinsamut came up short on both occasions. Since then, his ONE record reflects a mixed stretch of results, and he now returns to kickboxing looking to snap out of a difficult run.

For Sinsamut, this matchup represents a chance to get back in the win column and reestablish himself as a threat in the division. But standing between him and that goal is a hometown hero in Matsukura, who will have the full support of the Japanese crowd behind him as he looks to spoil the veteran’s return and announce his own arrival on the global stage.
