‘We Will See Who Is Faster’ – Ortikov And Estupinan Guarantee A Flyweight Muay Thai Thriller At ONE Fight Night 43

Aslamjon Ortikov and Jordan Estupinan are locked and loaded for their flyweight Muay Thai at ONE Fight Night 43.

Two of flyweight Muay Thai’s most explosive young guns are set to collide, and both men are promising a spectacular performance that nobody in the building will soon forget.

Undefeated Uzbek sensation Aslamjon Ortikov and Colombian firecracker Jordan Estupinan lock horns in a highly anticipated flyweight Muay Thai contest at ONE Fight Night 43: Tang vs. Gasanov on Prime Video.

The blockbuster event broadcasts live in U.S. primetime this Friday, May 15, from the prestigious Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Since bursting onto the ONE Friday Fights scene in 2023, Ortikov has been nothing short of a force of nature. The 23-year-old from TC Muaythai and Sport Club Shakhriyor carries a perfect 23-0 striking record and a 9-0 promotional mark, with four of those wins coming inside the distance.

He has decimated every Thai opponent placed in front of him, most recently dispatching former Rajadamnern Stadium Muay Thai World Champion Kongthoranee Sor Sommai to further cement his status as one of the division’s most dangerous contenders.

Ortikov has studied his upcoming opponent closely and arrived at a detailed breakdown of what Estupinan brings to the table, along with exactly where he intends to exploit the gaps.

Speaking to onefc.com, Ortikov said:

“My opponent is not a typical Thai fighter. He has a different style, so this will be a new challenge for me. I’ve seen some of his previous fights and I know he brings a different approach.

“He has good footwork and speed, but I believe I’m stronger in those areas and I’m confident I can handle them well. His defense is not very strong, which gives me opportunities to drop him and control the fight.”

The unbeaten Uzbek is not traveling to Bangkok simply to survive or to impress on the judges’ scorecards.

He is coming to secure a finish, and the massive implications of that finish are certainly not lost on him. With the vacant ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Championship looming on the horizon, he knows that a commanding performance here could fast-track him toward the biggest opportunity of his career.

Furthermore, his fellow Uzbek, Avazbek “Ninzya” Kholmirzaev, recently claimed the ONE Flyweight MMA World Title at ONE SAMURAI 1, and the Muay Thai sensation has every intention of following the exact same path to 26 pounds of gold.

He said:

“I’m looking to finish the fight early and make a strong statement. I believe a win in this fight will put me in position for [ONE] World Title shot. I’m ready to fight anyone for the belt.”

Ortikov is a highly well-rounded striker capable of landing devastating punches and kicks with equal authority — a deadly combination that has left every opponent he has faced unable to find a solution.

When pressed on his primary weapons heading into Friday night, the 23-year-old kept his answer chillingly direct.

He said:

“My speed and power will be my biggest advantages in this fight.”

Estupinan Promises A New And Improved Version

On the other side of the ring stands a fighter with plenty to prove and every reason to believe he can spring one of the biggest upsets of the year.

Jordan Estupinan is a 23-year-old Colombian with a 9-1 striking record who has already claimed two Muay Thai victories inside ONE Championship. He is incredibly hungry to make it three against the stiffest opponent of his promotional career.

The twin brother of ONE athlete Johan Estupinan, the aggressive Colombian arrives at Lumpinee Stadium having shaken off a tough kickboxing loss in his last outing, fully channeling that setback into the most focused and upgraded version of himself yet.

The training camp has been thorough, the technical improvements are real, and Estupinan wants the world to see exactly what he has been building toward.

Estupinan told ONE:

“We have worked more on my power, my punch, my speed, and my intelligence. We have worked to improve better, my boxing, and my kicks. You’ll see a new and more advanced Jordan.

“The most exciting thing about this fight is that we are two very fast fighters who are very skilled, and this will be a great show for all the fans.”

Estupinan respects what Ortikov has built with his unblemished record, but that respect strictly stops at the ropes when the opening bell rings. The Colombian is fully convinced that on fight night, he will be the faster, sharper, and far more motivated martial artist.

He offered:

“My opponent is a very good fighter, he has several strengths, he is fast, but in the ring, we will see who is faster.

“The fight will end with victory for Jordan Estupinan because I come more focused and with much more desire to win.”
