A compelling bantamweight Muay Thai clash between seasoned Thai veteran Suakim Sor Jor Tongprajin and Canadian standout Jake “The One” Peacock has been added to the star-studded lineup for ONE 173: Superbon vs. Noiri.

With both fighters possessing impressive knockout power, this high-octane encounter could reshape the division’s landscape inside Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan, on Sunday, November 16.

Peacock enters this contest riding a perfect wave of momentum since joining the world’s largest martial arts organization.

The English-born fighter has defied all expectations, turning his physical challenges into motivation that has propelled him to the global stage.

Peacock became an instant fan favorite in his inspirational debut, where he showcased his well-rounded striking arsenal to decimate Kohei Shinjo across three rounds at ONE Friday Fights 58 in 2024.

The Road to ONE: Canada winner then flashed his destructive power in his next outing at ONE 171: Qatar in February. There, he battered Japanese veteran Shinji Suzuki with fiery combinations and finished him in the third round with a devastating TKO.

Suakim Aims To Build Upon Destructive Momentum

Jake Peacock will look to continue his ascent in the stacked bantamweight Muay Thai division against one of Thailand’s most dangerous finishers – Suakim Sor Jor Tongprajin.

A former three-division Lumpinee Stadium Muay Thai World Champion, the battle-hardened Suakim enters this match with over 200 career fights to his name.

The ultra-aggressive 29-year-old wreaked havoc in the ONE Friday Fights event series, winning four consecutive bouts in impressive fashion.

His last victory in the Asia primetime event series was a two-round destruction of his Thai compatriot Komawut FA Group at ONE Friday Fights 100 in March, which earned him a life-changing US$100,000 contract and spot on ONE’s global roster.

Then, the Thai striker dazzled in his U.S. primetime debut with a unanimous decision win over Zafer Sayik at ONE Fight Night 34 earlier this month.

This pivotal clash pits Peacock’s precision striking against Suakim’s lethal close-range devastation.

For “The One,” it’s a step up in competition and a chance to prove he belongs among the division’s elite. However, another impressive victory from Suakim would solidify his position as a legitimate World Title contender.
