Roman Kryklia Starches Lyndon Knowles To Retain Heavyweight Muay Thai World Title At ONE Fight Night 30

Roman Kryklia Lyndon Knowles ONE Fight Night 30 4

Roman Kryklia’s reign of terror doesn’t look like it will be ending any time soon.

On April 4 in U.S. primetime, the two-sport, two-weight king successfully defended his ONE Heavyweight Muay Thai World Title with a dominant first-round knockout of WBC Muay Thai World Champion Lyndon Knowles in the main event of ONE Fight Night 30 on Prime Video.

The matchup took place in front of a rowdy Thai crowd at Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium.

Kryklia wasted no time going after the challenger with venomous boxing combinations, landing big punches early and often throughout the fight’s opening minute.

The towering Ukrainian then scored his first knockdown with a huge knee strike up the middle followed by a clean left hook.

“Knowlesy” gamely returned to his feet, but Kryklia smelled blood in the water. Sensing the end was near, he pounced with a final hammering straight right that sent Knowles down for the count just 2:10 into the first frame.

With the electrifying finish, the 33-year-old earned a US$50,000 performance bonus and remained the king of the heavyweight Muay Thai division.

The victory extended Kryklia’s incredible 15-fight winning streak, which includes seven straight triumphs in ONE, while improving his career record to 51-7.
