Regian Eersel To Defend Muay Thai World Title Against George Jarvis In Main Event Of ONE Fight Night 34

ONE Championship has officially unveiled the main event for ONE Fight Night 34 on Prime Video.

On August 1 in U.S. primetime, Regian “The Immortal” Eersel will defend the ONE Lightweight Muay Thai World Title against surging British contender George “G-Unit” Jarvis at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

After 13 thrilling fights in ONE — and just a single loss — Eersel has established himself as one of the world’s top pound-for-pound strikers.

The Surinamese superstar made his promotional debut back in 2018, and after two impressive victories, he claimed the inaugural ONE Lightweight Kickboxing World Title with an unforgettable decision over decorated Dutch icon Nieky Holzken.

“The Immortal” then defended his crown four times before turning his attention to Muay Thai and two-sport glory. In October 2022, he employed his crafty footwork and crisp long-range striking to defeat Thai knockout artist Sinsamut Klinmee and claim the inaugural ONE Lightweight Muay Thai World Title.

Since then, he’s continued his reign of terror with a pair of successful Muay Thai World Title defenses along with a thrilling three-fight kickboxing rivalry with Alexis Nicolas.

Eersel will next aim to further cement himself as an all-time great, but he’s in for a serious challenge against the hard-charging Jarvis.

“G-Unit” won a WBC Muay Thai World Title and dominated the UK Muay Thai circuit before making his ONE debut in September 2023 at ONE Friday Fights 35.

While he would drop a closely contested decision in that fight, Jarvis has since reeled off four consecutive victories, earning a six-figure contract, a spot on ONE’s global roster, and now, a career-defining opportunity against Eersel.

Notably, the 24-year-old has consistently displayed a crowd-pleasing, relentlessly aggressive style of striking that’s made him stand out as the division’s most dangerous contender.

That well-rounded, all-action approach should make for a high-octane clash against the smooth technical stylings and ruthless finishing instincts of Eersel.
