The Inner Circle 33 Main Event Result: Regian Eersel Survives Early Scare, Stops George Jarvis To Retain World Title
Two-sport ONE World Champion Regian “The Immortal” Eersel has built a career defined by overcoming adversity, and the main event of The Inner Circle 33 on Friday, October 2 was no different.
The Surinamese superstar walked the tightrope between glory and disaster before retaining his ONE Lightweight Muay Thai World Title against Englishman George “G-Unit” Jarvis via knockout. Their high-stakes rematch streamed exclusively for subscribers at live.onefc.com in Asia primetime from Bangkok’s iconic Lumpinee Stadium.
With the memory of being stopped in just 84 seconds still fresh, Jarvis arrived with a tighter guard and sharper feints to disguise his attack. Eersel, who vowed the outcome would mirror their first meeting, welcomed the chaos and fired back with a sharp one-two before going airborne with a flying knee.
Despite being busted open, Jarvis absorbed the damage and bided his time, eventually uncorking a massive left hook to the temple that sent the defending king crashing to the canvas.
Eersel survived to the bell, and the Sityodtong Amsterdam affiliate deployed leg kicks from the outside in the second canto. On the flip side, Jarvis, growing bolder, began swinging with real venom behind his punches. Sensing his foe’s guard hanging low in the heat of the exchange, “The Immortal” stayed patient and dropped the challenger with a pinpoint left hook to the chin.
Even at one knockdown apiece, neither man backed off once the third round began. The Surinamese martial arts hero, who also holds the ONE Lightweight Kickboxing World Title, worked behind a steady jab and extended combinations.
“G-Unit,” on the other hand, bit down and fired back with heavy hooks upstairs and to the body. Experience proved the difference, however, as the kingpin began targeting Jarvis’ swelling right eye with piercing straights, the damage mounting with every exchange.

Jarvis then opened the fourth with his signature left cross as Eersel peppered him with head kicks from the outside. Reading the first signs of fatigue, the Amsterdam-based star abandoned the kicks and returned to the target that had already done so much damage, landing another clean left hook that sent Jarvis down for a second time.
“G-Unit” immediately covered his right eye, and the referee called a halt to the pulsating war at 1:39 of round four.
The win marked yet another defining chapter in Eersel’s reign, extending his ONE Lightweight Muay Thai World Title defenses to four and improving his career record to 66-5.
It also made “‘The Immortal” the most successful titleholder in ONE Championship history, a 12-time World Champion across both Muay Thai and kickboxing.
