Two more intriguing Muay Thai bouts have been confirmed for ONE Friday Fights 114, which is shaping up to be an epic installment of the weekly Asia primetime event series.
The must-watch card will go down on Friday, June 27, at the historic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
In featherweight Muay Thai action, decorated Thai striker PTT Apichart Farm will make his hotly anticipated promotional debut against the prodigiously talented Elies Abdelali.
A veteran of nearly 150 professional fights, PTT has not suffered a defeat since early 2023, firmly cementing himself as one of Thailand’s top strikers not yet competing in ONE.
As part of his impressive resume, PTT holds victories over ONE athletes Alessio Malatesta, Fabio Reis, and Mohammad Siasarani.
While the Thai looks poised to make immediate waves on the global stage, he’ll have to get past Abdelali, a hard-hitting Frenchman whose crisp combination striking and thunderous leg kicks will pose a serious challenge.
In the other announced matchup, 17-year-old prodigy Younes Anane – the younger brother of current ONE Interim Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion Nabil Anane – will square off with Chinese scrapper Liu Junchao.
The strawweight Muay Thai showdown will pit two highly touted young strikers against each other.
Anane has already become a WBC Muay Thai World Champion, following in the footsteps of his superstar sibling. And like Nabil, he possesses a preternatural knack for the striking arts and show-stopping power packed into his long and lanky frame.
The teenager certainly has massive potential in the world’s largest martial arts organization, but Liu might have what it takes to halt his adversary’s hype train.
Still just 20 years old, the Chinese athlete lost a closely contested split decision in his promotional debut but showed he has the grit, tenacity, and well-rounded repertoire of striking to compete at the world-class level.
With Liu now motivated to bounce back, fans should expect him to fight with a chip on his shoulder when he shares the ring with Anane at ONE Friday Fights 114.
