Full Card Revealed For ONE Friday Fights 172 On September 25
This Friday, September 25, ONE Championship ignites Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, live in Asia primetime.
ONE Friday Fights 172 features 10 bouts across Muay Thai, kickboxing, and MMA, with all the athletes chasing the US$100,000 contract and a spot on the main roster of the world’s largest martial arts organization.
In the main event, Superlek Jitmuangnon looks to build on his hot start against Morocco’s Othman Rhouni in a bantamweight Muay Thai contest.
The 22-year-old Superlek made a statement in his promotional debut, picking up a unanimous decision win over weekly series standout Sonrak Fairtex, and he’ll look to carry that momentum forward as he continues to make a name for himself on the weekly series.
Rhouni, known as “The Ironside,” represents Team Mehdi Zatout and is still chasing his first ONE victory. In all fairness, he has faced the toughest competition in ONE Friday Fights, even taking multiple-time Muay Thai World Champion “The Angel Warrior” Panpayak Jitmuangnon to a split decision.
The 25-year-old Moroccan will look to use his physical tools to finally break through against a game young opponent.
In the co-main event, debuting Yodkatanyu Jitmuangnon meets China’s Liu Junchao in a flyweight kickboxing bout.
The 21-year-old Liu, who represents the Sheng Li Ren He gym, is looking to build on the momentum of his first ONE win, a unanimous decision victory over Kosei Yoshida at ONE Friday Fights 163, as he aims to string together back-to-back victories for the first time in his career.
