ONE Friday Fights 160 Main Event Result: Numsurin Goes 2-0 Against Songchainoi In Action-Packed Rematch

Numsurin Chor Ketwina showed no mercy against Songchainoi Kiatsongrit at ONE Friday Fights 160.

Numsurin Chor Ketwina outworked Songchainoi “Mini-Hulk” with sustained aggression to earn a unanimous decision in the atomweight Muay Thai main event of ONE Friday Fights 160.

The Asia primetime card aired live on June 26 from Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium, just hours before ONE Fight Night 44: Jarvis vs. Rungrawee II on Prime Video takes over the legendary venue in U.S. primetime.

Numsurin established his kicking game early in this sequel, almost a year after he prevailed by majority decision against his Thai counterpart during their first encounter at ONE Friday Fights 122 last August.

He landed clean low kicks with his right leg and switched up with left middle kicks throughout the opening round. Songchainoi, however, responded with heavy leather in response, a perfect ode to his fight moniker “Mini-Hulk.” Songchainoi clearly came prepared for war in search of revenge, and he got just that when action resumed back in the second frame.

The 25-year-old connected with a big right hand that caught Numsurin. The latter, though, showed composure and stung back with crisp shots. The two atomweights traded punches and kicks at close range before exchanging thudding knees in the clinch.

The war of attrition continued in the third and final round, with Numsurin maintaining the pressure and closely tracking his opponent’s movement. Once he closed the distance, the TDed99 representative connected with two rapid three-punch combinations to punctuate a strong finish.

After three hard-fought rounds, all three judges favored Numsurin, who moved to 2-0 in the rivalry and improved his professional record to 106-21. More importantly, it could earn the Thai another crack at reigning ONE Atomweight Muay Thai World Champion Nadaka.
