ONE Friday Fights 150 Co-Main Event Result: Rambong Edges Pethuahin In Flyweight Muay Thai War
Rambong Sor Therapat made his aggression count when it mattered most to earn a majority decision victory over Pethuahin Jitmuangnon in the co-main event of ONE Friday Fights 150, live in Asia primetime, inside Bangkok’s fabled Lumpinee Stadium.
He wasted no time firing his loaded arsenal in this flyweight Muay Thai matchup on Friday, April 10, connecting on a four-punch combination that ended with a vicious body shot.
Pethuahin stayed composed and retaliated with leg kicks from the outside, but Rambong’s breakneck speed allowed him to close the gap as he dug in with more brutal body punches.
That relentless pressure paid off when a laser left cross rattled his opposite number. The Rambong Muay Thai star swarmed immediately, mixing short elbows into the equation. Pethuahin, however, showed tremendous heart and tight defense to survive.
The Jitmuangnon Gym fighter regrouped in round two, working the clinch effectively and sneaking in short elbows and uppercuts. Rambong responded with crushing knees to the body before unloading overhand shots each time he broke free.
Sensing he was behind, Pethuahin turned the final round into a phone booth brawl, bloodying up his 28-year-old opponent with a tight elbow from the clinch before neutralizing his movement with a collar tie and knees.
Rambong kept his wits, though, using his footwork to escape and tag Pethuahin with right hooks on the break. He continued to stay one step ahead until the final bell.
After nine minutes of action, Rambong’s superior damage earned him the majority decision nod for his 83rd career win. It also marked his 10th triumph in the world’s largest martial arts organization.
