ONE 173: Denver Announced For August 1; Features Stamp Vs. Zamboanga World Title Unification Fight
ONE Championship’s next North American date is officially on the 2025 calendar.
On Friday, August 1, the world’s largest martial arts organization will return to Ball Arena with ONE 173: Denver, and the event already includes a blockbuster World Title fight that fans have been waiting for.
In the first announced matchup, ONE Women’s Atomweight MMA World Champion Stamp Fairtex will step back into action against ONE Interim Women’s Atomweight MMA World Champion Denice “The Menace” Zamboanga in a high-stakes battle to determine the division’s undisputed queen.
Thai megastar Stamp is one of the most iconic figures in combat sports today and the only three-sport World Champion in ONE history.
A former ONE Women’s Atomweight Muay Thai and Kickboxing World Champion renowned for her infectious charisma and electrifying style of combat, the 27-year-old will compete for the first time since her MMA World Title-winning performance against South Korean veteran Ham Seo Hee at ONE Fight Night 14.
Stamp was originally slated to defend her gold against Zamboanga last summer, but a devastating knee injury and the subsequent recovery from surgery forced her to the sidelines.
This won’t be Stamp’s first time competing on American soil.
Back in May 2023 at ONE Fight Night 10 in Colorado, she scored an epic second-round knockout of Alyse “Lil’ Savage” Anderson, which sealed her shot at the atomweight MMA crown.
Zamboanga, meanwhile, has put together an impressive four-fight winning streak against top-flight competition, all while showcasing marked improvements from fight to fight.
In her most recent appearance, the Filipina phenom displayed a dominant ground game and savage finishing instincts en route to a second-round stoppage win over Alyona Rassohyna – notably, the first woman to defeat Stamp in MMA.
That victory netted Zamboanga the ONE Women’s Interim Atomweight MMA World Title and earned her this World Title unification showdown against her former training partner and close friend in Stamp.
