Isi Fitikefu To Face Dzhabir Dzhabrailov In Fiery Welterweight MMA Clash At ONE Fight Night 38

Isi Fitikefu Vs. Dzhabir Dzhabrailov

ONE Championship has added an exciting welterweight MMA showdown to ONE Fight Night 38 on Prime Video, featuring Tongan-Australian wrecking ball Isi “Doxz” Fitikefu and undefeated Turkish finisher Dzhabir Dzhabrailov.

The card airs live in U.S. primetime from Bangkok, Thailand, on Friday, December 5, and the bout could have significant implications for the division’s hierarchy.

Fitikefu transitioned from rugby to martial arts with remarkable success. The well-rounded juggernaut, who holds a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt, entered ONE Championship with a flawless professional record of 7-0 and five stoppage victories.

Though he suffered a razor-close split decision loss to Kyrgyzstan’s Ruslan Emilbek Uulu in his promotional debut at ONE on Prime Video 4 in November 2022, the Tongan-Australian star bounced back six months later with authority.

Fitikefu would submit Brazil’s Valmir Da Silva via rear-naked choke at ONE Fight Night 9, showcasing the grappling prowess that has defined his career. He also earned a US$50,000 bonus for that performance.

In September 2024, Fitikefu faced his biggest test yet against surging rival Hiroyuki “Japanese Beast” Tetsuka at ONE 168: Denver. “Doxz” rose to the occasion, snapping his Asian opponent’s five-bout winning streak and proving he belongs among the division’s elite.

After his bout with former ONE Welterweight MMA World Champion Zebaztian “The Bandit” Kadestam got cancelled in May, the Tongan-Australian veteran returns in an effort to build upon his two-bout winning streak.

Victory at ONE Fight Night 38 would firmly establish him as a legitimate contender for reigning ONE Lightweight and Welterweight MMA World Champion Christian Lee‘s title.

Standing across from him will be Dzhabrailov, a Turkish phenom who has taken ONE Championship by storm. What makes the young gun so dangerous is not just his perfect 6-0 career record with a 100 percent finishing rate, but the blistering speed with which he dismantles opponents.

Dzhabrailov has needed less than two minutes to claim victory in all three of his promotional battles, proving he is one of the most dangerous rising stars in the sport today.

The Turkish sensation’s first promotional appearance at ONE Friday Fights 79 in September 2024 set the tone for what was to come. He demolished Eduardo “Dudu” Freitas in just 20 seconds, making an immediate statement to the entire division. The 20-year-old followed that performance with a TKO victory over Uzbekistan’s Khusan Urakov in January 2025, reaffirming that his debut was no fluke.

Most recently, he beat Argentine veteran Nicolas Vigna in his U.S. primetime debut at ONE Fight Night 32 this past June, demonstrating his ability to perform on the biggest stage against experienced competition.

The stylistic contrasts make this bout fascinating.

Fitikefu’s grappling-heavy approach will be tested against Dzhabrailov’s explosiveness and fearless aggression. The veteran’s patience and elite skills could prove crucial against an opponent who is known for quickly ending fights.
