‘I’m Not Afraid Of Your Punches’ – Aliff Ready For War Against Ramadan Ondash At ONE Fight Night 38

Aliff Sor Dechapan Elmehdi El Jamari ONE Fight Night 32 46

Malaysian-Thai sensation Aliff Sor Dechapan will never back down from anyone in the ring.

So when the 21-year-old takes on Lebanese knockout artist Ramadan “The Scorpion” Ondash at ONE Fight Night 38: Andrade vs. Baatarkhuu on Prime Video at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, he will be ready for an all-out war.

The event will broadcast live in U.S. primetime on Friday, December 5.

Aliff has established himself as one of the world’s largest martial arts organization’s most promising young stars. He recently showcased his indomitable fighting spirit in a hard-fought unanimous decision win over Elmehdi “The Sniper” El Jamari at ONE Fight Night 32.

That victory improved his record to 8-2 in ONE. More importantly, it set him on a collision course against an opponent who is equally hungry to make his mark.

Ondash brings electrifying aggression and devastating power into every battle. The 19-year-old Lebanese firecracker went 4-0 in the ONE Friday Fights circuit before punching his ticket to his U.S. primetime debut.

But despite Ondash’s fearsome reputation, Aliff isn’t intimidated by what’s coming his way. In fact, he’s ready to trade heavy fire if the situation calls for it.

The Sor Dechapan Gym representative said:

“I see him as a strong and powerful fighter who throws dangerous punches. I’ve faced this style of fighter before, but I think Ramadan is special compared to everyone else I’ve met. He has speed, especially the way he throws quick punches.

“If he comes at me, I’m ready to trade. I don’t think my punches are inferior to his.”

Ondash possesses frightening fight-ending power, most recently putting Chartpayak Saksatoon to sleep with a left hook missile at ONE Friday Fights 114. That performance earned him a life-changing six-figure contract to compete in the promotion’s main roster.

However, Aliff sees through the intimidation factor. He believes “The Scorpion” leaves himself too open when unleashing heavy blows, which creates opportunities for a more technical striker to exploit.

The well-rounded 21-year-old continued:

“Ramadan is very confident in his punching, and I’m confident in myself. I have good skills in everything, and my weapons are definitely more diverse than his.

“I have a plan to counter Ramadan’s punches for this fight. He definitely has a weakness. He is a bit sloppy sometimes.”

While Aliff may not possess the same one-punch knockout power as his next opponent, he has proven to be a surgical finisher with spectacular knockout wins over Zakaria El Jamari and Shamil Adukhov.

The cerebral Malaysian-Thai will approach this fight with his trademark calm and calculated style. But if Ondash instigates chaos, Aliff will not take a backward step. The 21-year-old striker is confident this fight will be a finish-or-be-finished affair.

He declared:

“The fight will be exciting. I believe one of us won’t make it to the end of the final round.

“My message to Ramadan: I’m not afraid of your punches. You should watch out for my weapons, especially my long-range attacks. See you in the ring.”

Aliff Eyes Title Shot Against Prajanchai With Statement Win Over Ondash

For Aliff Sor Dechapan, this fight is his chance to prove he deserves a shot at reigning ONE Strawweight Muay Thai World Champion Prajanchai PK Saenchai.

The pair engaged in an intense face-off at ONE Fight Night 32 after Aliff defeated Elmehdi El Jamari, suggesting that a World Title opportunity was imminent.

But Prajanchai fought Italian-Canadian star Jonathan Di Bella at ONE Fight Night 36 instead, where the Thai dynamo surrendered his strawweight kickboxing gold.

Aliff recalled the missed opportunity:

“After I beat Elmehdi, Prajanchai came up to the ring to have a face-off with me. I was happy because I thought, ‘Oh, I must have a chance to fight for the title next.’

“I was excited, thinking I would finally face the champion, but in the end, I didn’t.”

Rather than dwell on disappointment, Aliff has turned it into fuel. His high-stakes showdown with Ramadan Ondash is the perfect opportunity to prove himself worthy as the next challenger for the coveted 26 pounds of strawweight Muay Thai gold.

Handing the Lebanese star his first promotional loss would silence any lingering doubts about who deserves the next shot at the World Title.

On December 5, Aliff will be ready to turn his World Championship dreams into reality.

He said:

“I want to face great fighters. I even got to touch Prajanchai’s belt, just to get a feel for it. I believe I will win it someday.

“I’m going to prove it in this fight. I want him to see who is more deserving of a title shot, Ramadan or me. I will prove to Prajanchai in this fight that I am the one who is worthy to challenge him.”
