Full Card Revealed For ONE Friday Fights 21 On June 16
ONE Championship will bring another massive card to Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Asia primetime on Friday, June 16.
ONE Friday Fights 21 is the next installment of the promotion’s weekly offering at the iconic venue in Bangkok, Thailand. There are 10 exciting Muay Thai battles lined up for the local audience, as well as a pair of mixed martial arts contests that will open the show.
At the top of the bill, Kongsuk Fairtex meets Paidang Kiatsongrit in a clash of elite flyweights.
Kongsuk will be a familiar favorite for the Bangkok faithful as a two-time Lumpinee Stadium Muay Thai World Champion and a former Fighter of the Year. However, the debuting star will be pushed to the limit by his elite opponent.
With a 96-27-2 professional record, Paidang has an immense amount of experience, and his first ONE outing against Batman Or Atchariya showed that he possesses the power and grit to endure tough battles and emerge victorious.
In the penultimate bout, Mongkolkaew Sor Sommai returns against Sonrak Sit Por Jor Wor for another flyweight Muay Thai tilt between a pair of exciting athletes.
Mongkolkaew lost in a riveting ONE Friday Fights debut, and although Sonrak has gone 1-2 in the organization, every match has been a thriller, so fireworks are guaranteed in their pivotal encounter.
There are plenty more exciting Muay Thai matchups on the card, including Road To ONE Thailand winner Yodphupa Wimanair’s fourth outing in ONE Championship.
Yodphupa has racked up a perfect 3-0 slate so far – which includes back-to-back knockouts – making him one of the leading stars since the inception of ONE Friday Fights in January.
The 19-year-old phenom will now meet Antar Kacem, an experienced European Muay Thai sensation who hails from Belarus but grew up in France and has already taken on some top Thai adversaries.
The night’s MMA contests should kick things off in style, with Adilet Nurmatov putting his 11-2 record on the line against Leonardo Casotti‘s 9-3 mark at featherweight, and unbeaten newcomer Yryskeldi Duisheev (6-0) facing Magomed Magomedov and his 8-1 slate at flyweight.
