Full Card Revealed For ONE Friday Fights 170 On September 11
This Friday, September 11, ONE Championship takes over Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand – live in Asia primetime – before the organization heads to Japan for its ultra-stacked ONE SAMURAI 3 event the next day.
ONE Friday Fights 170 features nine bouts across Muay Thai, with most of the competing athletes chasing the US$100,000 contract and a spot on the promotion’s main roster.
In the main event, Yodlekpet “The Destroyer” Or Atchariya and Pompet Pongsuphan PK run it back in a rubber match featuring flyweight Muay Thai action, with the two Thai standouts sitting 1-1 across their first two meetings.
A four-time Muay Thai World Champion nicknamed “The Destroyer,” the 31-year-old Yodlekpet has strung together three straight wins, most recently outworking Saw Min Min by unanimous decision at ONE Friday Fights 157.
He took his first meeting with Pompet by split decision at ONE Friday Fights 120, before Pompet answered right back with a split-decision win of his own at ONE Friday Fights 126.
Now representing PK Saenchai Muaythaigym, the 27-year-old Pompet enters this decider off a third-round TKO of Nat Khat Min at ONE Friday Fights 163, and he’ll look to settle the score for good with the rivalry on the line.
In the co-main event, two of the promotion’s hottest hands collide as Ayad Albadr meets Kongchai Chanaidonmueang in a strawweight Muay Thai showdown.
Albadr, a two-time IFMA gold medalist, has been nothing short of sensational since making his promotional return, riding a five-fight winning streak into this bout. He most recently outpointed Saenmuangnoi PK Saenchai at ONE Friday Fights 160.
Standing across from him, the 23-year-old Kongchai brings a winning streak of his own into Lumpinee. The Tor Sangtiennoi representative has won four straight, highlighted by a first-round knockout of Valerii Strungari at ONE Friday Fights 157, and he’ll look to hand Albadr his first defeat since last year.
