Full Card Revealed For ONE Friday Fights 167 On August 21
This Friday, August 21, the world’s largest martial arts organization returns to Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, live in Asia primetime for a stacked card across multiple disciplines.
ONE Friday Fights 167 features nine Muay Thai, kickboxing, and MMA bouts, with most athletes chasing the US$100,000 contract and a spot on ONE Championship’s main roster.
In the main event, already contracted Dedduanglek Torfunfarm looks to keep his own push toward a bigger opportunity on track when he meets two-time Lumpinee Stadium Muay Thai World Champion Kongsuk Sitsarawatsuer in a bantamweight Muay Thai showdown.
Dedduanglek, 23, is no stranger to the bright lights. After opening his ONE Friday Fights account with four straight wins, he suffered a rare setback before bouncing back to score a statement victory over Taiki Naito in a U.S. primetime appearance. He arrives at Lumpinee on the back of back-to-back unanimous decision victories over Cyber Sor Tienpo and Sonrak Fairtex.
Standing across from him, the 25-year-old Kongsuk is one of the most decorated athletes on the weekly series. His grandfather introduced him to the sport at age 10.
After retooling his approach to fight with far more aggression, he has rattled off consecutive stoppage victories, finishing Babak Solouki at ONE Friday Fights 146 before doing the same to Khakimov Anisjon in the main event at ONE Friday Fights 156.
In the co-main event, Tepatip Champkhaomootod puts his recent form to the test against debutant Yokkiri TN Muaythai in a strawweight Muay Thai contest.
The 26-year-old Tepatip enters on the back of a first-round knockout of Krungthai Torfunfarm at ONE Friday Fights 157, his second win in three appearances for the promotion. Standing across from him is Yokkiri, who will look to make an immediate statement in his first walk to the ring.
