Full Card Revealed For ONE Friday Fights 149 On April 3
The world’s largest martial arts organization returns to Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, this Friday, April 3, and fans tuning in live in Asia primetime can expect a stacked night of martial arts action.
ONE Friday Fights 149 features nine bouts across Muay Thai, kickboxing, and MMA, with most athletes on the card hunting a coveted US$100,000 contract and spot on ONE’s global roster.
In the main event, surging Thai technician Tomyamkoong Bhumjaithai takes on Moldovan debutant Bejenuta Maximus in a flyweight Muay Thai showdown.
Named after the iconic Thai dish for his well-rounded style, the 21-year-old Tomyamkoong left his hometown of Surin at 15 to pursue his dream in Bangkok — and his climb has been well worth the journey.
Currently on a two-fight winning streak, the PK Saenchai Muaythaigym product is closing in on a six-figure contract.
Standing across from him is the Moldovan newcomer Maximus, an explosive kickboxer who uses sharp footwork and creative combinations to keep opponents off balance.
Making his ONE debut, Maximus will look to announce his arrival with a statement result against one of the division’s newest stars.
In the co-main event, Isannuea Sor Sasiwat squares off with Khunpon Aekmuangnon in a flyweight Muay Thai clash between two of the division’s most in-form fighters.
The 22-year-old Isannuea has built his reputation as a relentless clinch fighter capable of overwhelming anyone he shares the ring with.
A student of the sport since the age of 8, the Ranong native has dreamed of competing at ONE Championship his whole career. He has been making up for lost time since arriving, including a recent knockout victory over Sanit Aekmuangnon at ONE Friday Fights 140.
Across from him, the 20-year-old Khunpon arrives on a remarkable five-fight winning streak and brings one of the sharpest southpaw body kicks in the division.
The Phuket native trains out of Petchnumnoi and has quietly assembled one of the strongest recent runs at ONE Friday Fights, defeating four consecutive opponents to push himself firmly into contract contention.
In other action, contracted ONE athlete Payakrut Suajantokmuaythai — the Road to ONE: Thailand 2024 winner — faces former WMC Champion Ikko Ota of Japan in a strawweight Muay Thai matchup.
Australia’s Isaiah Badato makes his ONE debut against Japan’s Retsu Sashida in flyweight kickboxing, while Indonesia’s Delfan Dwi Satrio takes on Japanese newcomer Blackshisha Sotaro in atomweight kickboxing.
Elsewhere, Thailand’s Ployjan squares off with Sweden’s Vanessa Romanowski in atomweight Muay Thai, Russia’s Torepchi Dongak welcomes Tajikistani debutant Parviz Khamidzhonov in strawweight MMA, Thailand’s Khunsuk takes on Myanmar’s Har Ling Om in atomweight Muay Thai, and Spain’s Kevin Guillen makes his ONE debut against Turkey’s Ali Kelat in featherweight Muay Thai.
