Brandon Vera Features In The First ‘Warrior Spirit’ Special

Brandon Vera makes his entrance at ONE: CENTURY

Brandon “The Truth” Vera headlines the first edition of ONE Championship’s new special, Warrior Spirit.

Warrior Spirit documents the inspiring stories of the promotion’s leading athletes – from the hardships they have endured outside the Circle to their incredible performances inside it.

Vera, the ONE Heavyweight World Champion, kick-starts the weekly offering with his amazing life story.

Born to a Filipino father and an Italian mother in the United States Of America, he was raised in Norfolk, Virginia, where he was subjected to prejudice as a mixed-race kid.

However, Vera would not let anything hold him back. He started his martial arts journey as a wrestler and began a career in the United States Air Force.

An injury forced him out of the military – and out of the Olympic Training Center – but it led him to mixed martial arts.

“The Truth” excelled in his new sport and became a household name in North America, but he always felt the Philippines was his spiritual home.
