Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat To Make Long-Awaited Return Against Denis Puric At ONE Fight Night 17

Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat stands in the corner

A thrilling Muay Thai contest has been added to ONE Fight Night 17 on Prime Video on Friday, December 8.

“No. 1” Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat will make his highly anticipated return against Denis “The Bosnian Menace” Puric in a flyweight battle, which will broadcast live in U.S. primetime from the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Duy Nhat exploded onto the global stage in 2019, posting back-to-back knockout wins to kick-start his promotional tenure.

First, the Vietnamese superstar dispatched Azwan Che Wil in front of a home crowd at ONE: IMMORTAL TRIUMPH, sending his supporters into a frenzy with a concussive right hand in the third round. Two months later, he finished Yuta Watanabe with a head kick in the second frame.

Though the 34-year-old hasn’t appeared in the world’s largest martial arts organization since then, he has remained active. In addition to running his gym, No.1 Muay Club in Ho Chi Minh City, Duy Nhat earned another Muay Thai victory and launched his MMA career, where he posted a 4-0 record in amateur competition.

Now, Duy Nhat is ready to make his promotional return and pick up where he left off, but Puric will be a stern test for the highly touted Vietnamese striker.

“The Bosnian Menace” is a battle-hardened veteran with ferocious power and a relentless style that has captivated the global fan base. That dangerous mix helped him claim a victory over recent ONE World Title challenger Tagir Khalilov at ONE 162 in October 2022.

But for Puric to have a chance of breaking into the top-five divisional rankings and making a run at the gold, he’ll need to find a way to spoil Duy Nhat’s highly anticipated return.
