Nabil Anane To Defend ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Title Against Rambolek At ONE Friday Fights 147
ONE Championship has announced a massive World Title showdown for ONE Friday Fights 147 on Friday, March 20. Undisputed ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion Nabil Anane is set to defend his crown against Thai striking sensation Rambolek Chor Ajalaboon.
The blockbuster title clash, broadcasting live in Asia primetime from Bangkok’s iconic Lumpinee Stadium, delivers on a challenge issued immediately after Rambolek’s explosive performance at ONE Fight Night 39.
This rivalry ignited in January. Immediately after flattening Russian contender Abdulla “Smash Boy” Dayakaev, Rambolek grabbed the microphone and demanded a shot at the king. Backstage, Anane didn’t blink, accepting the challenge instantly, saying he was ready to defend his belt.
Now, the stage is set for an epic bantamweight Muay Thai clash between two of the sport’s brightest young talents.
The Algerian-Thai champion carries a 41-5 professional striking record and enters his first title defense riding a wave of historic accomplishments.
After an early promotional setback, Anane unleashed five straight victories to earn his breakthrough moment.
In January 2025, he faced Nico “King of the North” Carrillo for the ONE Interim Bantamweight Muay Thai World Title and shocked the combat sports world by knocking out the Scottish knockout artist, becoming the first fighter ever to finish Carrillo while claiming interim bantamweight gold.
Two months later at ONE 172, the 6-foot-4 phenom received his chance at redemption against “The Kicking Machine” Superlek, who had defeated him in his promotional debut. When Superlek missed weight at the weigh-ins and was stripped of the belt, Anane remained laser-focused. He demolished the Thai megastar in dominant fashion.
A few months after that historic win, Anane was promoted to undisputed ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion.
Since then, he’s explored kickboxing competition, fighting former ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Champion Ilias Ennahachi to a no-contest after an accidental low blow and defeating Hiromi Wajima at featherweight at ONE 173 last November.
Now he returns to his preferred ruleset to face his most dangerous challenger yet.
Rambolek represents a legitimate threat to Anane’s reign. A protege of striking legends Superbon and Nong-O Hama at Superbon Training Camp, the Thai knockout machine carries a remarkable 67-14 career record into the title fight.
His promotional resume speaks to his finishing ability — his 7-2 record includes five stoppages. Rambolek also made history as the first fighter to secure a $100,000 contract through ONE Friday Fights, then proved he belonged at the highest level.
Currently riding a five-fight winning streak punctuated by three consecutive knockouts, Rambolek timed his title challenge perfectly.
The bout presents a fascinating stylistic riddle: Can Rambolek close the distance against the towering 6-foot-4 champion, or will Anane’s reach and knees keep the explosive challenger at bay?
The clash between the young champion and the Thai contender promises fireworks as Anane looks to cement his status atop the division while Rambolek aims to capture his first ONE World Title.
