Anatoly Malykhin Predicts Finish For Teammate Fabrico Andrade In ONE Fight Night 7 Main Event

Anatoly Malykhin’s reactions after his match against Reinier de Ridder at ONE on Prime Video 5

Reigning ONE Light Heavyweight and Interim Heavyweight World Champion Anatoly Malykhin knows what it takes to reach the top, and he sees those traits in his good friend Fabricio Andrade.

“Wonder Boy” is set to rematch John Lineker for the now-vacant ONE Bantamweight World Title at ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video. Despite his Tiger Muay Thai teammate’s first outing against Lineker being declared a no contest, Malykhin has been impressed by Andrade’s unfaltering mindset.

“Sladkiy” has seen first-hand the effort that the top-ranked bantamweight has put into his training ahead of his second encounter with “Hands of Stone” on Friday, February 24, and he thinks it will pay dividends in the main event clash at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Malykhin revealed:

“Andrade is very hardworking, very focused, and very hungry. He is a very kind, cheerful, and sympathetic person, but also very tough and demanding of himself.”

Andrade looked close to taking the gold when he first faced Lineker last October until an errant low blow not only halted a potential finishing sequence, but also the match.

However, from watching “Wonder Boy” tighten the noose on his sparring partners in the gym, Malykhin expects more of the same in the rematch, barring the painful conclusion.

“Sladkiy” said:

“Andrade is a good striker and that is his main skill and advantage. He knows how to put pressure on. In sparring, he can be very pushy. If you make a mistake, he seizes the opportunity to punish you, he turns the pressure on full blast.”

Anatoly Malykhin Tells Fans To Expect An ‘Even More Charged’ Fabricio Andrade

Anatoly Malykhin has no doubt that Fabricio Andrade is even more fired up to win the ONE Bantamweight World Title this time around.

“Wonder Boy” has stated that he is the rightful king after his impressive first performance against John Lineker, but now he wants the strap over his shoulder to prove it.

Referencing his his teammate’s current intensity, Malykhin said:

“I can see that this time he is even more charged than before his last fight. Now he has a lot to prove. He is young, he wants to win, he wants the belt, and he wants to honor his country in the ring.”

Because the Brazilian’s motivation is at an all-time high, “Sladkiy” thinks his training partner will seal the deal with a definitive finish to prove that he is the best bantamweight in the world at ONE Fight Night 7.

He said:

“There can be only one end to this fight – a knockout. I think Fabricio will win, and he will finish Lineker before the fourth round.”
