On January 24, the sold-out Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand, played host to one of the most electrifying and action-packed fight cards in recent memory.
The stacked ONE 170 had all the makings of an unforgettable showcase – and it delivered exactly that from start to finish.
In the main event, ONE Featherweight Muay Thai World Champion Tawanchai PK Saenchai put his gold on the line against ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Champion Superbon in a rematch of their epic 2023 showdown.
While their first encounter went the distance, that wasn’t the case this time, as Tawanchai scored a sensational second-round stoppage to retain his belt and further solidify himself as a pound-for-pound powerhouse.
Before that, Fabricio “Wonder Boy” Andrade needed just 42 seconds to knock out rival “Pretty Boy” Kwon Won Il once again and successfully defend his ONE Bantamweight MMA World Title.
And in the first World Title contest, 20-year-old Thai-Algerian phenom Nabil Anane stunned Nico “King of the North” Carrillo with a first-round knockout, punishing his adversary with a venomous boxing attack to claim the ONE Interim Bantamweight Muay Thai World Title.
The rest of the lineup featured no shortage of dramatic highlights, including the triumphant return of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu icon Marcelo Garcia, a thrilling finish from surging featherweight Muay Thai contender Bampara Kouyate, and entertaining victories from twin brothers Jordan Estupinan and Johan Estupinan.
