‘On My Radar’ – Christian Lee Keeping Close Eye On Soldic vs. Ramazanov At Welterweight

Christian Lee is victorious at ONE 160

Reigning lightweight MMA king Christian Lee is well-aware of the challenges that lie ahead.

On November 18 at ONE on Prime Video 4, “The Warrior” will take his shot at two-division glory when he challenges Kiamriam “Brazen” Abbasov for the ONE Welterweight World Title.

While Lee has already competed in some of ONE’s biggest battles, he approaches every new matchup with renewed determination.

That mindset won’t change for his welterweight clash with Abbasov as he aims to become a rare double-champ in the organization.

Lee said of his chance at history:

“Every performance is your biggest performance. And going into this fight, this is everything. Everything that I’ve worked towards, has led to this moment, so yeah, definitely. This is going to be my biggest moment to date.”

Confident he’ll pick up another World Title, the 24-year-old superstar is also eyeing potential challengers in the welterweight division.

Above all, Lee is looking forward to a potential World Title defense against either highly touted signing Roberto Soldic or undefeated Russian destroyer Murad Ramazanov after their pivotal clash at ONE on Prime Video 5 on December 2.

“The Warrior” explained:

“Yeah, that’s definitely a fight that’s going to be on my radar. Of course, I’m not looking past Abbasov. He’s the only thing on my mind right now.

“But after I win the welterweight title, assuming all goes well, I know for sure it’s going to be one of those two that’s next in line.”

Christian Lee Talks Potential Welterweight Challengers

Undefeated for nearly five years and a two-weight champion in Europe’s largest MMA promotion, Croatian sensation Roberto Soldic was the world’s most sought-after free agent before landing with ONE.

For his part, Lee would be happy to face “Robocop” in the Circle with welterweight gold on the line.

He said:

“Roberto, he’s been a big name that ONE Championship just recently signed. I know there’s been a lot of talk about him. A lot of hype coming from behind him. So I think that if he wins, and he gets a good finish over Ramazanov, he’s definitely next in line.”

By that same token, the lightweight king would be equally eager to square off with Murad Ramazanov.

The Russian phenom has used explosive wrestling, concussive ground-and-pound, and dangerous submission skills to accumulate an 11-0 MMA record and become a feared contender in the welterweight division.

With that in mind, “The Warrior” believes the 27-year-old would be deserving of a World Title challenge if he gets past Soldic.

Lee added:

“I think that Ramazanov was already in line for a title shot before that fight. So I don’t see any other welterweight contenders that they would put ahead of the line for a title shot.”
