Warrior’s Quest

Lightweight World Championship

Aoki vs. Ando

May 22, 2015 7PM
Singapore Indoor Stadium, Singapore

Synopsis

There are moments in time where a battle has to be fought that will change the course of history. A battle that could usher in the reign of a new champion; or one that will propel the name of the reigning king amongst the legends of history.

On 22 May, in Singapore, this battle will take place.

In front of 12,000 screaming fight fans at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, Asian MMA superstar and reigning king of the ONE Lightweight Division Shinya “Tobikan Judan” Aoki will answer the challenge of a warrior whose time has finally come.

Biding his time patiently in the ranks of the Asian lightweight division, Koji “The Commander” Ando has left a devastating trail of destruction in his wake as he climbed to the top contender position. Now on a 5-fight win streak, he will challenge the best Asian lightweight that has ever set foot into the MMA cage – Aoki.

Despite the fact that Aoki has sat at the apex of Asia’s most stacked weight division, no one has been able to wrest the highly coveted title belt from his grasp. And there is good reason for that, because Aoki has solidified his position as the greatest mixed martial artist to have ever emerged from Asia with his incredible record of 37-6-1.

The world will be watching with bated breath as Ando steps up in an attempt to usher in a new era by defeating the most recognized figurehead of Asian MMA. But to do so, he will have to get past the most dangerous submission artist in the world who has every intention of retaining his crown for years to come.
