Brazil’s Rayane Bastos hails from a town in the Amazon rainforest called Castanhal in the state of Para. She began her martial arts journey early in life thanks to her father, who was a karate instructor.
Bastos would eventually train in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu as well, and was highly successful in both disciplines, as she won four major karate tournaments and five state BJJ championships. Following her numerous accolades in karate, BJJ, and later, Muay Thai competitions, she decided to try her hand at mixed martial arts and enjoyed immediate success in her new endeavor.
After going undefeated in regional Brazilian promotions, Bastos signed with ONE Championship, where she will test her skills on the global stage against the best martial artists in the world. She is confident in her ability to put opponents away with her heavy hands and submissions, and she is determined to turn her lifelong dream of becoming a World Champion into reality.
