Banma “The Prince” Duoji

Banma “The Prince” Duoji was raised in a single-parent home in Chengdu, China. Because his family couldn’t afford the two-dollar tuition needed to attend his local school, Banma was sent to an orphanage — but this wasn’t your usual facility. This orphanage took in impoverished children and trained them to become mixed martial artists.  

Originally, Banma was a shy kid, but through fighting he grew more confident and began laying out a path for his life. That path included professional MMA, which he excelled at leading up to his signing with ONE Championship in 2021.

Holding a 13-1 record, Banma debuted against former ONE Strawweight World Champion Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke at ONE: BATTLEGROUND III. However, the world’s largest martial arts organization proved to be a different playing field, and “The Prince” was stopped in round two.

He then went on to defeat ONE mainstay Walter Goncalves, which reversed his fortunes. Now the Chinese athlete is back on track and aiming for the flyweight MMA division’s elite.
