Angela Lee Looks Back On Her Title-Winning Moment

On 6 May 2016, at ONE: ASCENT TO POWER in the Singapore Indoor Stadium, Angela Lee made history by becoming MMA’s youngest-ever World Champion.

That night, she defeated Japanese veteran Mei Yamaguchi in a five-round Fight of the Year thriller to become the inaugural ONE Women’s Atomweight World Champion, a title she still holds today.

We showed her one of the most powerful images from her title triumph, and asked Lee to describe what was going through her mind.

Lee’s next challenge comes in the form of undefeated Muay Thai world champion Istela Nunes, with the bout taking place in the main event of ONE: DYNASTY OF HEROES on 26 May 2017 in Singapore.
