Hiroaki Suzuki’s Unique Approach To Filling A Heavy Bag

Japanese Muay Thai specialist Taiki Naito walks to the ring

Hiroaki “Kaibutsukun” Suzuki is back in the gym preparing for his return to action in ONE Championship, and he has found a way to make his heavy-bag workouts more lifelike.

Instead of fabrics, sand, or other potential fillings, Suzuki recently stuffed Bell Wood Fight Team training partner and fellow ONE Super Series competitor Taiki “Silent Sniper” Naito inside the empty bag.

At the start of this video, which was posted to Naito’s Instagram account, Suzuki takes a few measured shots with his elbows, which are followed by a kick and a couple of punches. Next, “Kaibutsukun” turns it up a notch with five stiff elbows to the center of the bag.

As the camera pans back, it shows that Naito had slipped himself into the heavy bag and is on the receiving end of those elbows.

As Naito drops to the mat, the two lock eyes and crack smiles. In the caption for his video, Naito notes that his training partner’s elbows are getting stronger.

When Suzuki returns to action, we will see if his work on the special-edition “Silent Sniper” heavy bag pays off.
