Songchainoi Goes 2-0 Against Rak And 7-0 In ONE, Petlampun Scores Fifth Win In A Row At ONE Friday Fights 71
The ONE Friday Fights 71 lineup was as stacked as fans have come to expect from ONE Championship’s weekly martial arts showcase, and the action on show inside Bangkok, Thailand’s Lumpinee Stadium blew everyone away on Friday, July 19.
Twelve Muay Thai and MMA contests lit up the hallowed venue, and each one produced something special for fans to remember.

Songchainoi Outstrikes Rak In Exhilarating Rematch
Not one fan was sitting when Songchainoi Kiatsongrit and Rak Erawan met for their 116-pound catchweight Muay Thai rematch, and they cheered and roared as the former went 2-0 after three intense rounds.
With his confidence at a high after their first fight at ONE Friday Fights 41, Songchainoi wasted no time in getting the action started. He landed multiple kicking combinations on his Thai compatriot’s abdomen to score points early.
Rak returned fire in the second frame, leading to the pair going strike-for-strike and eating as much as they threw to light up Lumpinee.
More phonebooth fighting ensued in the final round, as both men hunted for the knockout.
Unfortunately, neither found it, so the judges were called in. They deemed Songchainoi’s body of work deserving of the unanimous decision win, and he moved him to 7-0 in ONE Championship and 57-18 with the victory.
Petlampun Floors Silangern Three Times For Fifth Straight Win
Petlampun Muadablampang had a quick night at the office against Silangern Lanna Waterside in their 128-pound catchweight Muay Thai tussle.
Petlampun showed his Thai compatriot who was boss as soon as he let his hands go. Once he cornered Silangern near the ropes, the 27-year-old unleashed a rapid fire of punches and floored his opponent with a right hook.
Silangern returned to his feet but was sent back down seconds later after eating a vicious two-piece from Petlampun.
With victory in his sights, the Bumrungsit Gym fighter then went for the jugular. He threw a flurry of whirlwind strikes and sealed the deal with a left that landed flush on Silangern’s chin.
Petlampun’s TKO win came at 1:27 of round one. It extended his perfect ONE record to 5-0 and stood as his 88th career win overall.
Chartpayak Adds Third Straight KO To ONE Resume
Chartpayak Saksatoon unleashed his heavy hands on Pornsanae Sor Phumipat to score his third consecutive first-round knockout in ONE Championship.
Pornsanae was the one moving forward at the start of the 127-pound catchweight Muay Thai bout, but Chartpayak stood his ground and let rip with combinations when his rival attacked.
This tactic paid off when the Kiatpet athlete scored a knockdown via a reactive left hook as Pornsanae charged in.
The Sor Phumipat man returned to his feet, but Chartpayak was determined to score the finish from there. He struck in with a jumping knee and then sealed the deal with a lethal left elbow and left hand at 1:08 of the opening frame to push his ONE record to 3-0 and 64-15 overall.
Yoddoi Smashes Chokdee To Earn Back-To-Back Knockouts
Yoddoi Kaewsamrit brought a fast-and-furious attitude to his atomweight Muay Thai clash with Chokdee Maxjandee.
The 28-year-old ate shots from Chokdee in what was a frantic start. But after regaining his composure, he managed to put his opposite man on the ropes with heavy shots, helping him build confidence for the next round.
Yoddoi came out guns blazing in the second frame and sent his fellow Thai to the canvas with a blistering combination. Chokdee returned to his feet, but the Kaewsamrit Gym soon ended proceedings for good via another flurry of punches.
The KO win came at 1:10 of round two, and it pushed Yoddoi’s slate to 58-18 overall.
Padejsuk Outclasses Pettaweesak In Back-And-Forth Brawl
Padejsuk Looksuan and Pettaweesak Sangmorakot figured in an exciting 126-pound catchweight Muay Thai slugfest, and the former’s late surge powered him to victory in the end.
Pettaweesak got the better of the exchanges early on. He set up his combinations behind a slick jab to make his intentions clear. Not to be outdone, Padejsuk landed powerful kicks and punches when he found his rhythm, leading to an entertaining first round.
The second frame was another nail-biting affair. Pettaweesak threw more volume, but his Thai compatriot caused significant damage in the clinch.
The Looksuan Gym standout hunted down Pettaweesak in the final round, and he unloaded on the 18-year-old’s body to open up a gap and land ferocious hooks.
This pressure and relentless firepower saw Padejsuk take the unanimous decision nod at the end of the three rounds, and he improved his slate to 41-10 with the win.
Masdor Finishes Petaek With Crushing Elbow
Rifdean Masdor put on a blistering display en route to knocking out Petaek Sitbigjasskonrakpathum in the opening round of their 113-pound catchweight Muay Thai clash.
The 21-year-old star launched his heavy right hand at Petaek early, and it clearly made an impact. The Thai athlete sought refuge in the clinch, but he couldn’t keep his opponent trapped.
Out in the open, Masdor continued to blitz his opposite man with heavy punches. He then added a right elbow into the mix that clubbed Petaek in the temple as he retreated, sending him to the mat.
The Thammasat Khlong Luang man couldn’t recover, so Masdor was handed his second consecutive knockout win in ONE Championship at 2:49 of round one, moving him to 42-7 in his career.
Musaev Ends Superball To Return To Winners’ Column
After a mixed run of results, Ilyas Musaev proved he was back better than ever with a second-round knockout win over Superball Wankhongohm MBK in 142-pound catchweight Muay Thai action.
Superball controlled the majority of the first round. But once Musaev read his Thai foe’s movements, he shot in with chopping kicks to slow him down then dropped him with a five-punch combination before the end of the frame.
The contest was truly turned on its head from there. Musaev continued to terrorize with leg kicks that prevented Superball from putting anything together.
Sensing the finish was on, the Russian showcased his most crisp striking to date, and he sent his opposite man to the deck for good with a blistering combination at 0:55 of round two to move to 11-4 in his career.
Dayakaev Smashes Ongbak With Fists Of Fury In Round One
Abdulla Dayakaev gave the debuting Ongbak Fairtex a rude welcome in their bantamweight Muay Thai clash.
The Russian juggernaut fearlessly engaged as soon as the opening bell rang, but Ongbak showed he was a willing dance partner as they traded strikes.
However, the difference in power soon became evident, Dayakaev found his groove and attacked with punches in bunches.
A pinpoint left cross-right hook combination sent Ongbak to the canvas. And though he got back to his feet, it wasn’t to be for long.
Dayakaev pounced forward with more blistering punch combos when the action resumed, and one of them put Ongbak away for good at the 2:34 mark of round one.
The knockout marked the 22-year-old’s fourth straight win in ONE and his 11th career victory overall.
Imangazaliev Starches Petmuangsri In Incredible Debut
Asadula Imangazaliev dispatched Petmuangsri Wankhongohm MBK in emphatic fashion to cap off a perfect ONE Championship debut.
The Russian striker went straight on the offensive at the start of their 133-pound catchweight Muay Thai encounter, and he backed his man up to throw punches and kicks.
A hard left hand amid a flurry sent Petmuangsri to the canvas, and Imangazaliev didn’t let up from there.
With his Thai foe back on his feet, the Team Mehdi Zatout man pushed him back with punches again then uncorked a spinning back fist that put Petmuangsri down and out.
Imangazaliev extended his perfect record to 5-0 with the knockout, which came at 1:45 of round one.
Yonaha Outstrikes Chuikov To Impress In ONE Debut
Issei Yonaha showed no signs of jitters in his ONE Championship debut as he outstruck Timur Chuikov across three rounds of 124-pound catchweight Muay Thai.
The Japanese star let his kicks fly early. And when Chuikov threw his best counters, he was one step ahead in getting out of the way.
The second round was where Yonaha really started to shine, though. He picked up the pace and stumped much of Chuikov’s offense while staying aggressive.
Clearly ahead on the scorecards, the 26-year-old peppered his Krygz adversary with jabs to avoid all danger, and the judges awarded him the unanimous decision win for his troubles, which pushed his overall record to 27-9.
Bondarchuk’s Grappling Superiority Overwhelms Sat
Ivan “Killer Whale” Bondarchuk made his presence known in the featherweight MMA ranks with an impressive debut win over Nachyn “Samurai” Sat.
It was all Bondarchuk in the opening round, who quickly assumed back control and kept it for the majority of the first five minutes.
The 27-year-old tried to lock in multiple rear-ranked choke attempts, but his Mongolian-Russian counterpart valiantly defended.
Sat came out with a vengeance in the second frame and roughed Bondarchuk up from the clinch. The Idea JJ Team star then finished the round strong with a wicked slam followed by some heavy ground-and-pound.
The final canto saw Bondarchuk find a way to Sat’s back again, but he received a yellow card for holding the ring ropes.
Nonetheless, the Archangel Michael representative emerged victorious via unanimous decision in the end, and he upped his slate to 10-2-1 with the win.
Mesquita Chokes Out Okutomi To Open The Show
Faine Mesquita made quick work of Yuka Okutomi in their strawweight MMA opener.
Given her Japanese rival’s judo background, Mesquita was ready for the initial rush, and she kept Okutomi at bay with strong defense before executing a throw to take top position.
Okutomi tried to escape and return to her feet, but the MMAFFT athlete scored with knees to the head and deftly gained back control.
From there, Mesquita cinched up a rear-naked choke that rendered her foe unconscious at 2:15 of the opening frame.
With the submission finish, the Australian star extended her ONE Friday Fights record to 2-0.
