The 33-year-old Surinamese superstar defends his ONE Lightweight Muay Thai World Title against George “G-Unit” Jarvis at The Inner Circle 33 on Friday, October 2, live in Asia primetime via live.onefc.com from the prestigious Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
Eersel’s reign as ONE Lightweight Muay Thai World Champion has been a masterclass in dominance from start to finish. The Sityodtong Amsterdam product owns a 65-5 career striking record with 29 finishes and a 14-1 promotional ledger, and his place in the lightweight division’s history is already secure regardless of what comes next.
He claimed the inaugural ONE Lightweight Kickboxing World Title in May 2019 and defended it multiple times before adding the inaugural Muay Thai crown to his collection in October 2022, defeating Thai star Sinsamut Klinmee to become the division’s two-sport ruler.
His subsequent title defenses have only reinforced why he is considered the best lightweight fighter on the planet. He followed his first Sinsamut victory with a body shot finish in the rematch in March 2023, then scored one of his most emphatic performances yet, crushing Dmitry Menshikov in just 46 seconds nearly three months later.
