ONE Friday Fights 163 Main Event Result: Pompet Floors Nat Khat Min En Route To Third-Round TKO

Pompet Pongsuphan defeats Nat Khat Min at ONE Friday Fights 163 on July 24.

Thai firecracker Pompet PongSuphan PK made a loud statement in his pursuit of a US$100,000 main roster contract, stopping Myanmar’s Nat Khat Min via third-round TKO in the headline attraction of ONE Friday Fights 163

The finish capped an action-packed Asia primetime doubleheader on Friday, July 24, arriving shortly after The Inner Circle 23, where Aliff Sor Dechapan claimed the ONE Interim Strawweight Muay Thai World Title in the main event.

Pompet drew first in this flyweight Muay Thai battle with a textbook left hook counter that momentarily backed off his dance partner. The Myanmar debutant fired back, though, landing a thunderous superman punch flush that threatened to flip the script.

Nat Khat Min continued pushing for the kind of chaos his lethwei background craves, but the crafty Thai stayed disciplined and refused to be drawn in. He connected with overhand rights each time the Zwe Kapin Myay athlete bullishly advanced.

The second canto was equally chaotic. The PK Saenchai Muaythaigym athlete chipped away with low kicks as Nat Khat Min pressed with long combinations before catching an overextended kick and detonating a left hook to the liver that sent him crashing face-first near the ropes.

Somehow, the 26-year-old hauled himself upright and protected his body well enough to hear the final bell. Equipped with determination, Nat Khat Min came swinging for the fences when the third canto took off.

But Pompet caught hold of him and drained his tank with knees and elbows in the clinch. The Thai followed up with a left hand-cross combination that dropped the debutant again, and a knee to the body sent him straight back to the canvas moments later.

A final knee from Pompet forced the stoppage at 2:34 of round three, earning him a sixth highlight-reel win under the promotional banner. His record now stands at a remarkable 111-48.
